Cheraman Perumal – A Story Of Lies

2
Cheraman Perumal Kerala Hindus

The Cheraman Juma Masjid at Kodungallur, glorified by the moslems of Kerala as the most ancient mosque of the world barring Mecca is claimed to be the built by the last of the early Chera Kings, Cheraman Perumal, who is considered as the first follower of Islam by the same sect of people.

Recently, this ‘history’ which started making rounds in the late 20th century after the mosque was renovated in 1974, took a new turn when the former president Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam visited this mosque in 2005 and Prime minister Sri. Narendra Modi gifted a gold plated replica of the mosque to the Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in 2016. After these incidents, a Malayalam movie with Mammootty starring as Cheraman was also announced in 2014 though no news about the movie’s commencement came after that. Let us have a detailed analysis over this issue.

The Muslim records claim that the last Cheraman Perumal saw the moon split in the sky from his balcony and consulted about this incident with his astrologers. Later when a group of merchants came to his court, he came to know that Prophet Muhammad was behind this incident and set sail to Mecca after dividing his kingdom and making many of his relatives as the rulers of different parts. He met Muhammad at Mecca and converted to Islam after which he fell ill and died on his way back at Salalah in Oman, where he was buried and now a dargah has been built in the name of Tajuddin.

Interestingly, if we go a few kilometers away from the mosque we find a very ancient and huge Shiva temple with less number of visitors. The area of that temple is known as Thiruvanchikkulam and is the only temple in Kerala to be sung by the Naayanaars and features in the list of 1008 Shiva temples which are worshipped by the Naayanaars. It is from this place that Sundarar Murthi Nayanar reached Kailasa after singing about Shiva residing in this temple by the thirupadigam “Thaanenai munpadaithaan” of Thevaaram and was accompanied by the Cheraman Perumal who is considered to be the last of the Chera Kings to have ruled the entire Chera kingdom before the division.

Various scriptures like that of Sekkizhaar and inscriptions speak about the friendship which existed between Cheraman and Sundarar after their meeting in Thiruvarur. The Cheraman, who is also considered to be one of the 63 Naayanaars, accompanied Sundarar to Pandya Kingdom and worshipped Shiva at many ancient temples. His famous compositions are Ponvannatthandaadi, Thiruvaroor Mummanikkovai and Thirukailaaya Gnaanaulaa. There are several ancient murals in this temple depicting Cheraman going to Kailasa with his friend Sundarar and his army men paying homage to him attaining moksha. It was after this sudden departure of him to Kailasa that the Chera kingdom was split, until the later Cheras belonging to the Kulasekara dynasty united it again a century later.

Several liberals claim that the Chera King who left for Kailasa from Thiruvanchikkulam with Sundarar was Rajasekhara Varma of the Kulasekara dynasty. But this claim seems to completely false as Rajasekhara Varma lived in early 9th century, atleast a century after Sundarar’s period, and the King was succeeded by his son Sthanu Ravi Varma contradicting the fact that the Chera Kingdom was divided after Cheraman’s departure to Kailasa. So this establishes the fact that it was the last King of the early Chera dynasty who accompanied Sundarar.

Coming back to the claim of moslems about the time period, Sundarar lived in 8th century which dates well after Muhammad’s period and the presence of a Chera King in this time contradicts their claim of Tajuddin being the last King of the early Cheras who lived in the time of Muhammad.

The Theyyum song which is claimed by the moslems to be speaking about Cheraman’s journey to Mecca speaks about Samoothiri after the split whereas Samoothiri King’s lineage begin only in 12th century after the destruction of Mahodayapuram, the capital of Cheras by the Cholas. Going by this, if we consider the last king of the Kulasekara dynasty as the one going to Mecca, it dates 600 years after Muhammad’s demise making it impossible for the occurrence of the meeting between Chera and Muhammad.

Thus this shows that a random mosque existing in a quiet place at South Bharat and a forgotten Chera King have been used by the Muslim historians to hide the bloodbath which occurred in the name of spreading islam in Bharatvarsha.

Malayalam Filmmaker Jayan Cherian Insults Hindu Dharma in ‘Ka Bodyscapes’

0
Ka Bodyscapes

US based Malayalam Filmmaker Jayan Cherian chose to insult Hindu deities and Hindu religion in his latest movie ‘Ka Bodyscapes‘. The movie was released in US in 2016, but the Censor Board in Bharat refused to certify the film even under ‘A’ category citing many reasons, one of which was insult of Hindu religion. In the movie, a gay painter is shown painting his object of desire, a kabbadi player named Vishnu, as Hanuman (shown nude), who is flying carrying different books / gay literature over a temple. The painting also shows RSS members flying kites shaped as cows. Here is the image of the painting shown in the movie :

The synopsis of the movie Ka Bodyscapes is quoted here :

In the city of Calicut in the Indian state of Kerala, three young people grapple with entrenched structures of patriarchy – the free-spirited painter Haris, his love interest and friend, the athletic, mild-mannered Vishnu, and a fiery young woman, Sia. The air is filled with protests and challenges to the rising religious and economic right wing. KaBodyscapes cuts out a slice of contemporary Kerala, recreating in fiction the struggles of the young to gain space in the face of Hindu right-wing aggression in particular and community and class oppression in general. Haris, a talented but struggling young painter, is on the verge of being catapulted to fame. As he prepares for his first solo exhibition, he persuades Vishnu, the object of his desire, to join him in the city. Vishnu is fully within the grip of his Hindu right-wing family, which limits his choices; his desire is muted. But he joins Haris and stays with him in his tiny rented apartment as a reluctant yet willing lover and model. It is perhaps no coincidence that he is a kabbadi player – kabbadi being a game in which members of two rival teams must enter and exit each others’ delineated spaces alone, challenging the rival team to capture them. KaBodyscapes opens with Vishnu making precisely such a challenge to a rival team as Haris watches adoringly – and fails to return safe to his own space. It forebodes the tragic denouement of their romance.

Parallel to the doomed lovers’ tale runs the story of Haris’ friend and confidante Sia, a white-collar worker in an export firm. Sia struggles both at home and at work. At home, she battles the misogynist restrictions her conservative Muslim relatives impose on her even as they deny her economic security. At work, she questions the violent and humiliating labor controls, and the dehumanizing surveillance. Like Haris and Vishnu, Sia’s struggle is lonely and uphill, even when her friends rally around her in critical moments. As Haris, Vishnu, and Sia hurtle towards a confrontation with Hindu right-wing forces and predatory capitalism, their struggles cannot be but against the abjection of body and desire in the everyday life of the city. Haris’ deeply cosmopolitan art, which reclaims the body and desire, invokes the Egyptian Ka, the spiritual body-double, thus seizing the body from its degradation and elevating it as the necessary vehicle of Ka. Vishnu, however reluctantly, awakens to his body and slowly learns to answer its desires. Sia protests against the misogynist punishments meted out to menstruating women workers, and in moments of solitude, explores her own body through intense and loving touch. Each of these defiant acts provokes severe punishment and for these young people, it marks entry into adulthood in a challenging world.

The movies mixes up various issues and seems to primarily give the message that Hindu Dharma is the root of all restrictions on humans. The Censor Board in Bharat refused to pass this film even under ‘A certificate’ and reiterated this decision in the court too.  Parts of the CBFC’s whole statement are produced below, this statement is mentioned on the film website :

The mainstream English media has been supportive or neutral about this film through out. Going by these news reports, this filmmaker gives a very lame defense, ‘it isn’t actually the painting of lord Hanuman, it is actually the painting of character Vishnu in the film’. The depiction is however too clear, vulgar and in the face. Knowing fully well that Hanuman ji was a brahmachari (bachelor yogi) in Hindu texts, his nude depiction related to homosexuality will offend any sane Hindu.

The synopsis of the movie can be criticized on many levels, most obvious being the relationship shown between homosexuality and Hindu religion. There really is no relationship. Hindu Dharma doesn’t ask to kill homosexuals unlike Islam. Nor does Hindu Dharma encourages homosexuality. Christianity considers homosexuality as a sin, with Catholic teaching condemning homosexual acts as gravely immoral. Kerala today has a high population of Muslims and Christians – close to 50%. If the director really intended to take up cudgels on behalf of homosexuals, he would be better off taking on the Church and Muslims clergy who are the most vocal defenders of the Victorian-era Section 377 of IPC (Indian Penal Code) which criminalizes homosexuality.

Another very weird aspect of the film is, the name of the Muslim protagonist ‘Sia’. It is interesting to note that the filmmaker Cherian, chose to name the Muslim character fighting misogyny as ‘Sia’. How often does one see Muslim families naming their daughters after Hindu goddesses? May be, this was a clear attempt by the filmmaker to avoid vandalism by Muslim mobs, which would be difficult to avoid if the name would be a common Islamic name!

Coming to the homosexuality theme of the movie, it is only obvious that many in society do not promote abnormal tendencies. Not that homosexuals should be criminally prosecuted, (after all how many are actually jailed), but the claim in the synopsis that ‘Hindu right-wing family of Vishnu has muted his desires’ is too funny and bizarre. To be honest, what desires is the movie talking about? Homosexual desires? Knowing fully well that the world is still far tilted towards straight sexual tendency humans and that a civilization progresses only when a male and a female mate, how can it even be considered normal to have homosexual desires? Is the movie trying to force homosexual tendency into Hindu society?

Then, of course, saving and respecting all forms of life, specially cows as a tradition of Hindu culture is obviously mocked. So is RSS.

Finally, no surprise that Christianity does not find a mention in the synopsis of this movie. Of course, the filmmaker  Jayan Cherian says it has nothing to do with his own religion and he can’t change his parents.

Pakistani Refugee Behind Berlin Truck Attack on Christmas Market?

Berlin Terror Attack

In an apparent terror attack, at least 12 people have died and up to 50 injured after a lorry ploughed into a crowded Christmas market in the German capital of Berlin.

A ‘passenger’, suspected to be the hijacked driver of the truck, was among the dead in the crash at Breitscheidplatz, near the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in central Berlin. Police have arrested the driver of the truck and according to a report in the German newspaper Die Welt, the suspect is a newly-arrived Pakistani refugee. Some other reports say that he is an Afghan.

Berlin Truck Attack

Witnesses said it was not an accident and the lorry had shown no signs of slowing down. One spoke of the vehicle “going through people” and “pulling everything down” as it tore through tables and wooden stands.

In July this year, a 19-ton lorry ploughed into a crowd in the French city of Nice, killing 86 people. That turned out to be an Islamist terror attack carried out by Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel, a 31-year old Tunisian with French residency permit – IS (Islamic State) has claimed responsibility for that attack.

As per breitbart.comIslamic State sympathizers and militants are celebrating the Berlin lorry attack

“The messages, obtained by Breitbart Jerusalem, were posted to a closed chat group that utilizes the encrypted Telegram messaging service. The chat group serves as an internal Twitter of sorts for IS jihadists and sympathizers, and it has been used in the past to issue IS communications.

The messages also celebrated the assassination on Tuesday of Russia’s ambassador to Turkey. That murder, which was caught on video and was perpetuated at a public event in front of witnesses, was reportedly carried out by an off-duty police officer.

The Telegram user who goes by the name of The Army of Osama wrote:

“From the lions of Allah, we send you our hello on your soil which revolted and fought the infidels. Today the infidels are going out shouting and suffering due to the assassination of the Russian pig in Turkey and today there are those who are going out screaming in Germany. They don’t know that this is only a small part of the capacities of the lone mujahedeen and also of the collective worldwide plan to kill all of those infidels who are swimming in the blood of Muslims in Aleppo, Mosul and elsewhere.”

berlin2

Along with France, Germany seems to a major target for Islamist terror groups. This year has seen several attacks on Germany including shoot outs at shopping malls, stabbings etc. In Europe, almost all major nations – UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Spain – have been hit by Islamist terror in the last 10 years.

The security agencies in Bharat need to take note of these developments, especially regarding large trucks being used as a weapon for Islamist terror attacks. Jihadis across the world often learn tactics and strategy from each other – the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks by Pakistani ISI & LeT inspired the series of coordinated shootings in Paris in Nov 2015.

When Islamists and jihadis proclaim that they are involved in a worldwide fight against infidels (kafirs), we need to take them seriously. Bharat has been the worst victim of the modern jihad which started around the 1990s in the form of bomb blasts, railway bombings, plane hijackings and crashes, IEDs like pressure cooker bombs, mass shootings, stabbings, suicide bombers and now truck attacks. The threat to Bharat has hugely multiplied since the emergence of Islamic State, as the large number of IS cells busted in Bharat just this year shows.

Again and again we see evidence that Pakistan is the mothership of terror across the world today. The list of Pakistanis or Western citizens of Pakistani origin involved in global terror is long: Times Square, New York bomber – Faisal Shahzad; San Bernardino, California shooting – Syed Rizwan Farook & Tashfeen Malik; 26/11 Mumbai -Tahawwur Rana, Daood Gilani (aka David Headley), Ajmal Kasab and others; London tube bombing -Shahzad Tanweer, Hasib Hussain and Mohammed Sidique Khan.

The list of Pakistanis arrested & convicted before they could carry out terror attacks, is staggeringly long, as this page on the South Asia Terrorism Portal maintained by Shri K.P.S Gill (IPS) shows. Truly, ‘Brand Pakistan’ identifies itself with global terror.

With so much evidence at hand of the total radicalization of the Pakistani State and civilian population, why do some elements in Bharat (the country which has been the worst victim of Pakistan-origin Islamic terror) continue to defend Pakistan and advocate ‘talks’? Such elements need to be asked to explain why they are deliberately hiding the truth from the common people of Bharat – whose agenda are they pushing?

All political parties and sections of society need to support Rajya Sabha MP Rajeev Chandrasekhar’s bill to declare the Islamic Republic of Pakistan a Terrorist State. This bill speaks of withdrawing economic and trade relations with Pakistan and of creating legal, economic and travel sanctions for its citizens. Unless Bharat takes this step, we have no moral right to ask other countries of the world to act against Pakistan.

Muslim Mob Loots and Burns Hindu TMC Leader’s House, Despite Mamta’s Muslim Appeasement

2
Muslim Mob Loots and Burns

The attacks on Hindus in West Bengal following Eid-e-Milad festival have not spared even a local Hindu TMC leader’s house in Dhulagarh, Howrah. We had reported earlier on the rioting that broke out last week in Howrah and Birbhum districts – now, reports are coming in of disturbance in Burdwan district as well.

As news of this communal violence and total failure of law & order machinery people is spreading on the internet – mainstream media is still trying its best to downplay the gravity of the situation – people are questioning the conspicuous silence of West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee.

A fact finding team of Hindu Samhati has shared a new video with HinduPost which shows the scale of destruction in Dhulagarh, Howrah due to the attack by Islamists. The video also shows the looting and burning of a house belonging to a local TMC leader Ashim Khara, allegedly by local Muslims who used to visit the same house for party meetings.

At 1:00 min in the video, a man can be heard saying, “They used a gas cylinder to set fire to the house…they looted gold and silver rings and other ornaments from my wife and daughter, and set fire to the text books of my son studying in 10th standard.”

At 2:20 min in the video, a woman talks about the destruction to the house of a local TMC leader Ashim Khara, “I know two of the attackers – they are local Muslim boys by the name Badan & Mintu ..they used to come to the house for party (TMC) meetings…after they had looted our gold & ornaments, TV & cycle, we requested them to allow us to douse the flames and save our home..but they refused and even prevented police from entering the area”.

Dhulagarh is around 30 km away from Kolkata – one hour’s drive.

HinduPost spoke to Mr. Prasun Maitra, an activist with human rights group Hindu Samhati which has been fighting for the oppressed Hindus of West Bengal since 2008.

“Attacks on Hindu workers of TMC are not new. For jihadis, all kafirs (non-Muslims) are the same and open to attack when they riot..it does not matter if the Hindu is aligned with TMC, Congress, CPM or BJP. TMC is doing everything to appease the Islamists, yet they will not hesitate to bite the hand which feeds them. Even last year, if you see my Facebook post from June 2015, a TMC leader Shankar Bhuiyan was attacked by a Muslim mob in South 24 Parganas and the TMC flag was burnt – till then Bhuiyan used to sing praises of secularism and Hindu-Muslim brotherhood.

The names of the Muslim youth involved in the present attack on Ashim Khara’s house – Badan and Mintu – is a common ploy adopted by Muslims of taking a fake Hindu name to fool Hindus. For eg. Razak becomes Raju and so on.”

He had some blunt words for Hindus and the BJP as well –

“When one Rohith Vemula committed suicide and an Akhlak died in Dadri, secular-liberals made a huge hue & cry and raised these issues incessantly in Parliament. BJP has 4 MPs from West Bengal, including 2 central ministers – why have they not raised in Parliament the issue of repeated riots in West Bengal? Local Bengali media is not covering these riots, but if the issue is raised in Parliament they will be forced to cover. On a Zee News discussion recently, RSS ideologue Rakesh Sinha wanted to sponsor a ticket for Rahul Gandhi so he could visit West Bengal and experience the situation here first hand, but then why doesn’t Home Minister Rajnath Singh visit WB and take stock of the situation? When a child throws a stone at a Church in Delhi, Rajnath Singh personally follows up with the Delhi Police..why is he not speaking up on the situation in WB?

The urban Bengali Hindu living in Kolkata and elsewhere is blissfully unaware of the ground reality just few kms away from posh areas like Park Street. I don’t know what it will take to wake them up.”

An 81-year-old former pastor and missionary was sentenced Thursday to 18 years in prison for sexually assaulting three girls in California, USA.

Douglas Dale Whinery pleaded guilty to seven felony counts of lewd acts on a child under the age of 14.

Prosecutors allege that Whinery was in a position of trust when he met the 8-, 9- and 10-year-old girls. At the time, he was involved with the Olive Crest Church in Santa Ana, the Foothill Family Church in Foothill Ranch and the Grace Church in Yorba Linda.

Whinery was accused of molesting the 9-year-old girl sometime between January 2005 and June 2006. Prosecutors said he was caring for the girl and her sister while they were in California to go to a theme park.

According to prosecutors, Whinery met the 10-year-old and 8-year-old girls at a park in Tustin. He was accused of grooming the pair, giving them money, taking them to school and church and letting them spend the night at his home.

Whinery sexually assaulted the two girls on multiple occasions between Nov. 7, 2011, and March 28, 2016, prosecutors said. One of the girls told a family member in late March. Tustin police investigated the allegations, taking Whinery into custody on March 30.

Prosecutors said there were other alleged victims who were not included in the charges, but were willing to testify to sexual assaults by Whinery dating back as far as 40 years.

A longtime pilot, Whinery founded the Tustin-based Wings of Faith Ministries, a nonprofit that flies supplies to missionaries working on remote Native American Indian reservations.

Evangelizing the ‘Unreached’

Christianity is a proselytizing faith, i.e. it believes in spreading the ‘Good News’ that Jesus Christ died to pay the penalty for our sin so that we might become the children of God and attain salvation through faith alone in Christ alone. The underlying assumption of Christianity is that all non-Christians are intrinsically inferior and ‘lost souls’ who are wallowing in a primitive culture from which they have to be ‘rescued’.

Hence, the story of the spread of Christianity – first within Europe and then to other continents like North and South America, Africa, Australia and Asia – is a chilling tale of genocide, war and barbarity, all under the guise of a ‘civilizing mission’ i.e. of spreading the message of the ‘one true God’ to the ‘unreached’ masses. The spread of Christianity was primarily by the sword, and is no different from the way Islam spread.

Lets look at the mission statement of Wing of Faiths, the ministry / charity established by the paedophile pilot & missionary Douglas Dale Whinery (In Christianity, ministry is an activity carried out by Christians to express or spread their faith) –

Our motto is “Real People Meeting Real Needs.” Wings of Faith provides on-going support and donations to missionaries mainly serving Native American populations in the United States and is committed to helping the poor, abused, hungry and forgotten people in these communities.  Our organization utilizes a team of volunteers to pilot light aircraft and drive ground vehicles to spread the gospel of Christ in tangible ways by transporting Bibles, food, clothing, medical supplies and other necessary aid to those who need it most.

Those who want to understand the reality of the Native American encounter with Christianity can refer to this wiki – http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Native_Americans_and_Christianity

The mission statement of a charity like ‘Wing of Faiths’ is almost similar to what several Christian charities claim to do in Bharat, i.e. serve the needs of impoverished Hindu masses. Organized sexual abuse of native children is just an occupational hazard for the Church, or so it seems.

As Dr. David Frawley says

“The missionary assault on Hinduism and other non-Christian religions is not diminishing. It has changed tactics since the colonial era in which it relied on brute force extending to genocide. The colonial era also involved educational propaganda on various levels and economic gains for converts, which have been streamlined today.

Since the independence of non-Christian countries, the new missionary methodology relies on media propaganda and charity, hiding religious exclusivism and intolerance under the guise of freedom of religion. Evangelical groups are the most vociferous, still speaking of hell, fire and brimstone, Hindus as worshipping demons, and promoting fake miracles in the name of Christ.

But other Christian groups are still misrepresenting Hindu Dharma and its profound teachings. Some are trying to coopt Hindu Dharma into Christianity with aartis in churches and Om on crosses.”

Predatory missionaries & ‘Child welfare’ Charities

Umpteen cases have come to light from across the world of Christian priests & missionaries sexually abusing young girls and minor children. While Vatican and Protestant Churches have been laggardly in acknowledging the systemic problem and have actually tried to protect the offending clergy, the criminal justice system in the West is now acting against such predators and handing out deterrent penalties.

But in Bharat, the missionaries and Generic Church operate with impunity and many criminal missionaries who have been found to be involved in heinous sexual crimes against children are yet to be punished.

In fact, a child rapist Indian priest who was convicted in the US for raping multiple girls inside churches and served a prison sentence, was re-instated by the Roman Catholic Church of Southern India at the direction of the Vatican! Multiple nuns from Kerala have come forward with their horror stories of how they are sexually abused and exploited by seniors within closed doors of convents. Rampant abuse of children in orphanages and educational institutions run by the Church is exemplified by the Grace Home case of Rajasthan.

But such is the clout the Church enjoys in Bharat that they virtually control our media, enjoying tremendous PR across all media organizations and having the ability to censor any news of entertainment media content deemed offensive. The ‘Christians Under Attack’ false narrative stirred up by the Church and their media lobbyists last year before the Delhi Assembly elections, shows how formidable a propaganda machinery they possess.

Are Hindus listening?

Rahul Gandhi – The Loose Cannon

0
Rahul Gandhi Absurd Dynasty
New Delhi: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi during a press conference at Parliament in New Delhi on Wednesday. PTI Photo by Subhav Shukla (PTI12_14_2016_000052B)

When Rahul Gandhi accuses Narendra Modi of ‘personal corruption’ one must not be shocked – because RG always makes wild false charges when he opens his mouth. He says Modi has killed thousands of people. RG forgets that it was his party henchmen who killed thousands when Indira Gandhi died and his father justified the genocide by saying ‘when a big tree falls, the earth shakes’. Such cheap publicity stunts run in his blood.

It must be also remembered that he and his party never believed in democracy – hence never abided by its principles. The Nehru-Gandhi family can never sit in the Opposition and thinks that it alone must rule. Look how their Congress party functions within itself. How can it respect democracy when it does not have democracy within it? It is always resorts to unruly behavior when out of power.

It is recorded history that the party when out of power is frustrated and loses all sense of decency. What did Rajiv Gandhi do when he had to sit in the Opposition? Promising outside support, he wanted Chandra Shekhar to form a minority government knowing well that he could pull off the support and enjoy the discomfort of Chandra Shekhar, and then have the sadistic pleasure to see a government fall. Playing with democracy was the game the Nehru-Gandhis always resorted to, and this is exactly why I repeat that the Nehru-Gandhis never had any respect for democracy. Toppling non-Congress governments was the game it indulged in, forgetting that they are insulting the people and making the nation weak.

Similarly, using throat power it formed the ‘shouting brigade’ to block Parliament and toppled one after another governments headed by IK Gujral and Deva Gowda. Same gimmicks are now exhibited by Rahul Gandhi – block Parliament and then cry hoarse that the PM is running away from Parliament because he is afraid of RaGa!

It must be admitted that RaGa is well versed in corruption – that is his legacy..-the Nehru-Gandhi family has been throughout corrupt. Right from Nehru’s period down to his father’s with the infamous Bofors scandal, the family is steeped in corruption. Now that the AgustaWestland and the National Herald cases are coming up, Sonia Gandhi-Rahul Gandhi and the Congress are jittery.

Sonia Gandhi sits in Parliament only to prod the Congress members to rush to the well. Is that democracy? People’s elected representatives must remember that Parliament is not a street to exhibit theatrics and unruly behavior. They are paid handsomely to represent people’s aspirations, their needs and discuss and debate the problems. They can dissent but not carry placards and rush to the well. This they are free to do on the roads and in other public places. But under the Congress the sanctity of Parliament has been destroyed whenever they are in the Opposition. And when it was in power, it dented every aspect of democracy. This is a clear indication that the Congress does not believe in democracy and yet RaGa has the audacity to preach to the PM to listen to the people!

The fact is that RG does not know his own family history and hence thinks he can blame Modi – twist the whole truth to suit his political ambition. The family is afraid of Modi because he is the only politician who is strong and who can dare the Nehru-Gandhis. From the time he took over as PM, the Nehru-Gandhis are scared. Now RG accuses Modi of corruption. It is apparent that he is frustrated. He reveals his fear and his ignorance and shows that he is devoid of political morality. If RaGa has proof of the PM’s personal corruption, why not reveal and expose Modi? Why all the hollow words that Modi is ‘terrified’ and that Modi lip reads him and that Modi is running away from Parliament?

RaGa had ample time to speak in Parliament instead he preferred to agitate outside Parliament. No wonder, the President cautioned the Opposition on this. The Congress MPs rush to the well of the House – why had RG not made it known within the Parliament to the Speaker that he intends to make a statement, that he needs to speak on something which will create a ‘storm’…why has he not revealed the storm creating information to the media? Why just these hollow threats?

RG must realize that his lies will not work because these are falsehoods. How has Modi robbed the poor and grabbed their money to enable the corporates to repay their loans from the banks? How can a man who is the VP of a political party utter such trash? He must be hauled in court for making such false accusations and misleading the people.

Now that the National Herald case is coming up and the AgustaWestland scam points to ‘the family’, Rahul Gandhi and the Congress are terrified. They want to divert attention. RG must go ahead and substantiate his accusations because he has made it against the PM of this country. Modi’s hands are clean, he will not run away unlike RG who can run away to Italy and or UK.

RaGa, one thought, was a joker but now he reveals himself as a desperate man who will not hesitate to stoop to any level. He must not be allowed to get away with it. A frustrated, desperate man is dangerous. He thinks that because he is a Nehru-Gandhi, nothing can touch him, that he is immune. No wonder, the Nehru-Gandhis did not even want to submit to security checks when they travel.

As far as his slogans are concerned, they are cheap – If all cash is not black and all black money is not cash, then what is it? Nobody has said that all cash is black. RG is knowledgeable in this because he knows how to stash money off shore; how it can be invested in benami lands – his brother-in-law would have given him some tips on this. So let RaGa  spill the beans; let him not keep talking off his hat.We are waiting for the ‘storm’ because Modi can face a tsunami also.

Having tried his best to project himself as pro poor RaGa has made himself a real laughing stock. The Nehru-Gandhi family has swindled the poor. Why, if he is so clean, does he not tell his mother to vacate 10 Janpath – that does not belong to ‘the family’. Let her pay her water, electricity, maintenance charges. Is this not swindling the poor? Having enjoyed all the ill-gotten wealth and having his Italian relatives also to loot Bharat’s poor, RG sheds crocodile tears for the poor.

At times I do feel sorry for RG because he has not grown – he is fixed and static at a particular age and hence immature. He has not uttered a word against the hoarders of lakhs of crores of money. From where did they get it and how? Why this selective amnesia?

RaGa and the Congress must answer why they kept the people poor. Why for more than sixty years they did not alleviate poverty? What was its road map? Why this sudden love of the poor? Rahul Gandhi is the rich poor man who has a warped personality. He thinks no end of himself but everyone knows how hollow he is. This poor rich man has his holidays abroad – his birthday bash in UK and his hideouts abroad, God knows for what. But he thinks that by taking up the cause of the fisherman, the farmers, the dalits, he can project himself as the champion of the poor. One simple question Rahul Gandhi must answer – why did his family loot the poor? Why had it kept vast majority of the people poor?

Rahul Gandhi has no substance – he is a big failure and unfit to be in politics, leave alone lead the people. We have had enough of the Nehru-Gandhi gimmicks and hypocrisy. It is time for the people of Bharat to assert and to throw them out lock, stock and barrel. The fact is that Rahul Gandhi and his mother are terrified of Modi, and hence Rahul Gandhi’s projection that Modi is terrified of him. Is it not the joke of the century? Modi is strong, is firm, is a thoroughbred patriot and above all, has a vision for the nation. He is above personal aggrandizement and personal corruption. For him country first and country above everything else, towards this he will not hesitate to sacrifice anything and everything – even his life. That is the stuff Modi is made of.

Using ‘Sanghi’, ‘Bhakt’ and ‘Saffron’ as Terms of Abuse is Bound to Backfire

2
Sanghi Saffron

It’s happened! At last someone has branded me ‘Sanghi’ in twitterspace. This, of course, is not entirely unprecedented. Ever since I stood up against the anti-democratic Left at JNU, I’ve been called many names. In any egregiously illiberal webzine, an attack on me was tagged “#saffron terror.” When I wryly commented that if my writing was “terror,” then what of the distant IS’s decapitations, Pakistan’s neighbourly killings, our own Maoists’ atrocities, and real extremist and terrorist violence? They hastily removed the hashtag.

More recently, a student comrade from my university mounted another assault on me on the same portal, similarly full of lies, distortions, and imprecations. Why bother to respond? One cannot have a dialogue with the closed-minded. But one amusing comment appended to the vituperation deserves special mention. “A man who spends most of his time plagiarizing from students is not a scholar — he’s a thief.”

I am amused because most students in JNU write so poorly that far from being impelled to plagiarise from them, one is usually inclined to help them compose a decent paragraph or two. It would be a proud day when JNU students’ writing would be worth copying. The point, however, is more fundamental. Why does Left-Liberal abuse fail to stick or, for that matter, even make sense? The reason is simple: linguistically and culturally illiterate, it lacks a basic understanding of Bharat.

Take the favourite expletive with which I began: Sanghi. Instead of being a slur, Sanghi actually could be a badge of honour. How have our comrades forgotten the last of the three Buddhist articles of faith — “Buddham saranam gacchami, dhammam saranam gacchami, Sangham saranam gacchami?” To be a part of the Sangha is a great privilege — even today, when ‘Sangh’ may refer equally to Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh.

I personally know hundreds of Sangh pracharaks and karyakartas, besides leaders in the highest positions. They are among the most sincere, patriotic, devoted, disciplined Bharatiyas, committed to Bharat Mata both in prosperity and adversity. Some I have known from my childhood, including my own maternal uncle, a math teacher, who spent the duration of the Emergency in the Vadodara gaol. “What did you do,” I asked him. With a laugh he replied, “To get into jail, nothing, except being a Swayamsevak. In jail, I taught the other political prisoners yoga and Gita.”

Take another term of opprobrium: Bhakt. Given that one of Bharat’s greatest contributions not only to national but to world literature, religion, and culture was the Bhakti movement, why would any Bharatiya feel ashamed to be called Bhakt? I’ve heard derisive howls of “Woh to bhakt hai” fall totally flat on ordinary desis. Many an innocent, non-Anglicised Bharatiya, unexposed to Left-Liberal obscenities is genuinely puzzled: is the person so-named a really a great devotee when the tone of the speaker is so venomous?

That brings me to the “original” Left-Liberal term of contempt and censure: saffronisation. During NDA I (1998-2004) I found that there was merely a shade of difference between red and saffron. Many a Commie or Congi was more than happy to switch loyalties following the regime change. Some were so shameless as to denounce their former masters and comrades for preferment. We see this playing out even today, during NDA II, when the greatest survivors are opportunists who have eaten from both plates and with both hands, so to speak. A few have disingenuously claimed that their continued patronage is not a factor of switching loyalties, but proof of how indispensable and meritorious they are in the first place. All this suggests that many of us have neither ideological leanings nor integrity; we can be meretricious or mercenaries as it suits us.

Whatever our hue, painting those we dislike as saffron is bound to backfire. In Bharat, saffron, bhagva, kesariya, and gerua have been associated with sacrifice, renunciation, and piety. Saffronisation, then, only means purification, consecration, and devotion to most Bharatiyas. Even the Persian word, zaffran, which refers to the rare and expensive spice, has positive associations, whether in terms of colour, aroma, or prestige. Thinking that saffron will overnight turn into a term or scorn or excoriation is delusional.

Used to be that another example of such invective was khaki shorts. To most non-Bharatiyas this would make little sense. How would addressing a group of people by an item of clothing so innocuous be tantamount to an insult? Many designer brands all over the world market khaki shorts as an essential part of the sartorial repertoire of casual dressers. It is only when you are informed that those who attend RSS Shakhas are so dressed that the name-calling makes sense. But the abusers seem totally ignorant of the fact that members of the Congress Seva Dal also wore khaki shorts. There are photos even of Jawaharlal Nehru so kitted out. Now that the RSS has changed its approved outfit to khaki pants or trousers, the shorts smear is passé.

Political invective, like political satire, is an art. Not everyone is either good at it or capable of carrying it off with aplomb. When the majority of Hindus in Bharat feel ridiculed for being Hindu, when they find their cultural and religious symbols mocked, such vituperation is bound to boomerang, harming those who indulge in it. Rather than resorting to name-calling, which diverts from real issues, the opposition might do well to maintain the ethics of debate and dissent. That would be the way to strengthen the culture of democracy in Bharat.

7 year old Girl Kidnapped by Muslim Cleric in Karnataka

1
Madrassa Muslim cleric
15-08-2007 Lahore, Pakistan. A girls madrassa in one of the poorest areas of Lahore. Around one third of the Pakistani youth is educated in Madrasas. For poor families it's a posibility for free education. But also richer families send their children often for a year to a koran school to learn about Islam. Madrasas are accused of recruiting and training memebers for Al Qaida or the Taliban. Most madrasas are just educational insitutes that distance themselves from extremism. For girls a madrasa can eaven mean a way to emancipation, because an education can help them with finding a job and financial independence.

A 49-year-old Muslim cleric, Mohammad Akram, has been arrested for kidnapping  a 7-year-old girl in Hole Narsipura, Hassan district, Karnataka.

Apparently, this news has appeared only in a Tamil news site dailythanthi.com.

The 7-year-old girl studied in a madrassa adjacent to a mosque in Hole Narsipura. On 9 Dec, the Muslim cleric kidnapped her & kept her in a house in Shivamogga. When the girl did not return from the madrassa, her frantic parents searched everywhere before lodging a complaint with police.

The police has now arrested Mohammed Akram and the rescued girl has been handed over to her parents.

The same news has appeared in a Kannada news site as well.

Minor children are at grave risk in madrassas – with many reports of children being abused or trafficked by their ustads/clerics.

  • In May 2014, 589 children from Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal were detained at Palakkad railway junction in Kerala and eight persons arrested on charges of child trafficking for taking the children, aged 3-13, to two Muslim orphanages in Kozhikode and Malappuram. The police suspect a well-organised racket regularly supplies destitute children from impoverished regions of north and north-east to Kerala orphanages so that donations from gulf countries keep flowing.
  • In Oct 2016, head moulvi Abdul Gafoor and a Rohingya Muslim refugee couple living in Jammu were arrested for allegedly putting chains on the feet of their 11-year-old son to prevent him from running away from a madrasa.
  • Malayalam film director, Ali Akbar, said he was sexually exploited by an ustad (teacher) during his time in madrasa. Akbar alleged that the ustad sexually exploited every student in his class, “Sexual exploitation of children in madrasas is still going on. But, nobody is ready to speak out against it out of fear.”
  •  A Kerala woman journalist, VP Rajeena, was threatened on Facebook after she wrote about child sexual abuse in a Madarassa she used to go as a child.
  • A 2010 expose showed how many madrassas have become transit shelters for child trafficking, or worse, doubling up as sweatshops themselves.

Worryingly, rather than invest in modern educational institutions, more and more such Islamic madrassas are mushrooming across Bharat – with some even identifying themselves with the hardline Salafi/Wahabbi sect of Islam that is followed by dreaded terror organizations like Islamic State.

(We thank @by2kaafi for alerting us about this news which appeared in Tamil site dailythanti.com.)

Update:

19 Dec 2016: Added a Kannada report for the same news, along with the photo of the accused Muslim cleric.

Jennifer Lawrence Proves how ‘Civilized’ West Disrespects Indigenous Cultures

2
Jennifer Lawrence

Western civilization is widely considered the pinnacle of human achievement and thought in today’s world. The West claims to be the custodian of human knowledge and the guardian of ideals like liberty, equality and democracy.

But beneath the veneer of modern refinement lurks a vastly different picture. How the cream of Western society views itself and other people across the world, tells us a lot about the hollowness of these Western claims to cultural & intellectual superiority.

Jennifer Lawrence, the American actress who starred in the hit Hollywood masala film ‘Hunger Games’, recently made some controversial remarks regarding sacred rocks in Hawaii, on a British talk show ‘The Graham Norton Show’ broadcast on BBC –

“There were … sacred … rocks — I dunno, they were ancestors, who knows — they were sacred,” said Lawrence. “And you’re not supposed to sit on them, because you’re not supposed to expose your genitalia to them.”

She went on to talk about how she used the rocks for ‘butt-scratching’. The chat show host, other guests and audience are in peals of laughter as she describes how she wedged loose one such sacred rock while using it for ‘butt-scratching’.

After facing a lot of flak on social media, Lawrence has come out and apologized ‘if I offended anyone’. Incidentally, she had narrated the same story in 2013 as well.

But Lawrence alone is not to blame here – she is just the symptom of a deeper malaise that afflict Western society – the notion that the West is somehow inherently superior to other beliefs and cultures across the world is deeply ingrained in the Western psyche.

If one observes Western movies, TV shows, cartoons and different forms of pop culture, one will observe a thinly-veiled contempt for ‘pagan’ (non-Christian) practises & beliefs such as idol worship, sacredness of earth and nature, meditation etc. Fellow Abrahamics like Muslims and Jews are accorded slightly more respect in the popular Western imagination, as they are considered to be followers of a ‘proper’ religion i.e religions with a prophet and one central book.

The West is yet to properly acknowledge and atone for their genocide and cultural annihilation of entire civilizations and cultures like the Mayans, Aztecs, Incas, Native Americans and indigenous inhabitants of New Zealand, Australia, Hawaii, Fiji etc.

The natives of Hawaii are Polynesians and White settlers arrived there in 1778. Many would be surprised to know that the Kingdom of Hawaii achieved the recognition of its independence as a sovereign State in 1843 under an indigenous King, but was later annexed by USA and remains under illegal occupation by the United States of America to this day. U.S. Army, Marines, Navy and Air force sites today make up 20% of Hawaiian territory.

From sacred rocks of Hawaii to ‘idol worship’ and other ‘superstitions’ of Hindus and other hell-bound ‘pagans’ – these are all characteristics of ‘uncivilized’ people as far as the average Westerner is concerned.

This is why challenging the West’s self-serving Universalism and reversing the gaze on the West through a non-Western lens, as Rajiv Malhotra describes in his seminal book ‘Being Different‘, is so important.  The world needs to learn how to preserve difference with mutual respect – not with mere “tolerance”
