In a shocking incident, a large mob of Islamists numbering around 10,000 people attacked a village in Telangana’s Adilabad district. The incident occurred in the Asifabad village in Adilabad, where a mob of radical Islamists brutally attacked the village with weapons.
In spite of the horrific nature of the incident, it is noteworthy that this mammoth mob violence incident has not garnered any attention from any mainstream news media. Only a Telangana and Andhra Pradesh-based online media channel named “Political Voice” covered this news.
According to the reports, the Islamist mob threw axes and stones at the innocent Hindu villagers. They ransacked the villagers’ public and private properties. Hindus ran into their houses and locked themselves up to save their lives.
Notably, the local BJP MLA, Shri. Payal Shankar rushed to the village and assured them of raising this issue and providing moral support to the victims of the mob violence. As seen in the video, he personally surveyed the village, spoke to the villagers and listened to their sorrowful experiences. He condemned the inhuman act of violence on the Hindu community and assured that he would provide help to the villagers from his side.
Shamefully, the secular media of the state, as well as the national level, have maintained a strategic silence on this news. Mainstream media’s silence is aimed at whitewashing the crimes faced by the Hindus in their own land.
