कश्मीर में फिर एक हिन्दू की हत्या: पलायन आरम्भ, परन्तु समाधान कोसों दूर! कब तक हिन्दू इस जिहाद का शिकार होता रहेगा?

2
Kashmir

UP officer Ravindra Kumar Gautam eulogizes Osama bin Laden despite suspension

0

The Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of the Uttar Pradesh Electricity department, says he will still hail slain global terrorist Osama bin Laden despite getting suspended.

SDO Ravindra Kumar Gautam, who had earlier displayed a framed photograph of Osama bin Laden in his office at Nawabganj in Farrukhabad district, and wrote “Revered Osama bin Laden — World’s best junior engineer” is facing suspension and disciplinary action.

He said, “I consider Osama bin Laden to be my ‘Guru’. If the photo is removed, I will arrange another and hang it again. Everyone is free to choose his ideal.”

The SDO had put up Osama bin Laden’s framed picture in the waiting room of his subdivision office.

He was suspended after the photograph of the terrorist went viral on social media.

Farrukhabad District Magistrate, Sanjay Kumar Singh had sent a report to the state government following which Dakshinanchal Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Limited’s Managing Director Amit Kishore suspended Gautam and recommended strict disciplinary action against him, saying his act has tarnished the image of the state Electricity department.

“Strict disciplinary action has been recommended against SDO Ravindra Kumar Gautam,” said Kishore.

During suspension period, the SDO will be transferred to the Electricity Distribution Board, Kannauj. His act is contrary to the provisions of Government Servants Conduct Rules, 1958, the Managing Director added.

Sources in the state Electricity department said the SDO had put Osama’s photo in office about a week ago, and though clerks, operators, two junior engineers and a dozen linemen visit it daily, no one raised an objection.

Chief Engineer Rakesh Verma said, “A committee has been constituted to probe the matter. A report has been sought and action will be taken against other employees also.”

Terrorists kill bank manager Vijay Kumar in J&K’s Kulgam

The manager of a regional rural bank (Ellaquai Dehati Bank) was shot dead by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Thursday. Police sources said the terrorists shot and critically injured the manager, identified as Vijay Kumar of Rajasthan.

Kumar was working as the manager of a regional rural bank (Ellaquai Dehati Bank) in Areah village branch of Kulgam district. He was attacked in the morning as he was entering the bank branch, said police sources.

“He was shifted to a hospital where doctors said he was dead on arrival. The area has been cordoned off for searches”, sources said. CCTV footage has emerged which shows how the terrorist entered the bank and shot dead manager Vijay Kumar. A resident of Hanumangarh district in Rajasthan, Kumar had only recently joined his posting in Kulgam and was newly wed as well.

On May 31, terrorists killed Rajni Bala, a non-local teacher in the same district. She belonged to Samba district of Jammu division. Just days before, government employee Rahul Bhat was murdered.

The targeted killings of Hindus and other minorities, both locals and migrant workers, has been ongoing in Kashmir for almost an year now. Even Muslims deemed ‘un-Islamic’ or ‘police informers’ are being targeted.

Meanwhile, secular politicians and Lutyens’ elites are batting for talks with the same Pakistan that is sponsoring this terror, citing ‘positive signals’ from Pak Army Chief Bajwa and new PM Shehbaz Sharif. For them, blood of ordinary Hindus, soldiers and civilians is indeed very cheap.

Bangladesh: Hindu minor stabbed to death by Muslim classmates

0
Hindu

The atrocities on the Hindus of Bangladesh are on a constant rise. The latest victim of Bangladesh’s anti-minority bigotry is a Hindu minor named Dhruba Chandra, a resident of Fatullah in Narayanganj. The 15-year-old was a student of class 10. He was mercilessly hacked to death by his Muslim classmates.

Dhruba would regularly hang out with his Muslim classmates named Yasin, Pius, Ripon, and Antar, among others, at a local tea shop after school. On the day of the incident also, he was sitting and talking with these boys at the tea shop. By twilight, they got embroiled in some argument that escalated quickly. One of the Muslim friends took out a sharp knife and started to stab Dhurba repeatedly. When Dhurba lost consciousness, they left him on the spot and fled. The locals discovered him lying in a pool of blood and rushed him to a local hospital. But his condition kept deteriorating. He was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition for better treatment, where the doctors checked him and declared him dead.

Police have detained four people in the incident. One of them named Yasin narrated how one of their other classmates, Pius, had called Dhruba to that darker place after school and stabbed him ferociously while the others beat him.

OC of Fatullah Model Police Station, Rizal Haque Dipu informed that the locals had taken the victim to the hospital. The OC has assured that those involved in the incident will be brought under the law.

The bereaving family of the victim, including his father, Madhab Chandra, and his mother, is tormented by the sudden demise of their minor son. The mourning mother was beyond condolences. She cried, beating her chest, and asserted that there would be no justice for them or their loss.

Her assertions appear genuine as Bangladesh has become a nightmare for religious minorities. The killings of the Hindus have become a regular incident. These brutal murders are discussed for a few days, and then they fade out from everyone’s memory. These bereaving parents never find justice in the fanatically Islamist country.

J&K govt to post migrant Hindu employees at ‘secured’ places in Valley

0

All the migrant Hindu employees, posted in the Kashmir Valley under the Prime Minister’s rehabilitation package and others belonging to the Jammu division will be posted in secured locations, the J&K government said on Wednesday.

An official said that this was decided in a high-level meeting chaired by Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha, and comes in wake of a series of killings of Hindu government employees by militants in the Valley.

“Because of the threat perception, the government has decided to post Kashmiri migrant employees working in the Valley under the Prime Minister’s rehabilitation package in secured locations in the Valley by June 6.

“The safer location postings of these employees will be started immediately and the process to be completed by June 6,” the official said.

“No employee will be posted to work or reside in isolated areas or in a scattered manner,” the official added.

It was also decided that a dedicated email ID will be created for complaints and grievances, and promotion and preparation of seniority lists will be completed within three weeks.

Deputy Commissioners and Senior Superintendents of Police will make assessment of accommodations for these employees.

Muslim man throws urine on Hindu women doing puja: Chattisgarh

In a shocking incident which should be dominating news headlines across the country, Hindu women performing Vat Savitri Puja in Jashpur Nagar, Chattisgarh on Monday were left aghast when a Muslim man threw a polythene bag filled with urine on them.

A complaint was lodged against the accused, Zaheer Khan, that night. Angry and disgusted locals demanded strict action, including expelling Khan from the district. On Wesnesday, the entire town of Jashpur Nagar remained closed in protest. Several women gathered in Purnanagar area, where the incident took place, and expressed discontent with police. Khan has been arrested under IPC 295 and sent to jail.

As per Durga Devi, she and other women of the area were observing Vat Savitri Puja in which married women gather under a banyan tree and worship to bring happiness to their marriage. They tie a thread around the tree 7 times and perform parikrama while observing vrat (fast) that day. Vat Savitri Puja and fast are observed on the Amavasya Tithi of the Jyeshtha month of the Hindu lunar calendar.

As the women were worshipping, the accused youth came on the spot and started doing an objectionable act. The women protested and told him to go away. He made an offensive comment and left, but returned after some time and continued with his antics, throwing a bag full of urine at them.

Predictably, claims have emerged that Khan was ‘inebriated’. This is a common tactic used to deflect attention away from the religious indoctrination and monotheistic supremacism that fuels such anti-Hindu bigotry.

Addressing a gathering in Rani Bageecha, MP Gomati Sai took aim at three local Congress MLAs. She questioned their silence on the shocking hate crime, and said they would have gone ballistic if any other religion had been targeted. Just taking photos in front of temples is not enough, but one has to stand with Hindu society in their time of need. Several other BJP leaders too attended the gathering.

In a letter to the district administration, villagers demanded that Khan be additionally charged under the SC/ST Act, outraging modesty of women, disturbing peace and that he be expelled from the district. Women warned that if the administration did not take the matter seriously, they would resort to fierce protests.

How American kids are being sexualized in the name of LGBT inclusiveness

They say it’s innocent. They say it’s just about inclusion and acceptance. They say no one is trying to confuse, corrupt, or sexualize kids. They lie.

A gay nightclub in Minnesota held a drag show for children earlier this month. One of the performers said in an interview “I want to give the kids an opportunity to see what drag queen/king life is like on a day to day basis.”

A preschool in Massachusetts is hosting a pride event including drag queen storytime and a pride parade.

A bar in Dallas, Texas is advertising a drag show for children including the opportunity for some kids to perform with the drag queens on stage. This is the drag queen host.

Bristol Library advertised a drag queen story hour tour where drag queens will be going around to libraries across the UK to read to children.

AC Library is advertising drag queen story hour specifically for preschoolers. The library is funded primarily by local property taxes.

Children and drag queens danced for adults with some kids even collecting money on stage at a drag convention this month.

Last month we saw a teacher hosting a drag show for students in Pennsylvania.

In Arizona, a teacher arranged a drag show for students and was later arrested after allegedly having sex with a student.

In Jasper Indiana, a pride event with a drag queen performance is being advertised for all ages and they are encouraging kids to bring cash to tip the drag queens.

Youth pride organizations in Ontario organized a drag queen story hour tour at various public libraries for all ages. It will “showcase stories celebrating diversity and inclusion”

In Weston Vermont, a public library had a drag queen story hour for all ages with stories focused on gender and activism. They write “drag queen story hour captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood”

Libraries in Cambridge, MA, Chicago, Amesbury, MA, and Davenport, IA are all holding drag queen events for kids. These libraries are all publicly funded.

A Philadelphia school invited a drag queen to perform for students and is still scheduled for this week.

An Iowa school had a drag performance. The school later claimed they didn’t know this was happening and were investigating. A source told me the teacher in charge was placed on leave however the district refused to confirm or deny. I will update when I can confirm.

Elementary, middle, and high schools across NYC have teamed up with this drag organization to bring drag queens to schools to read to kids.

A Florida church was recently blasted for their plans to host a drag queen show for kids.

Not bound to disclose why security clearance refused to Media One TV: Centre to SC

0
centre

The Central government has told the Supreme Court that refusal of security clearance to Malayalam news channel Media One was based on intelligence inputs and in view of matters concerning national security, it is not bound to disclose the reasons.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, in an affidavit, said: “It is submitted that in cases like the present wherein the matter concerning national security is involved, the petitioner company cannot insist upon strict compliance with principles of natural justice and the respondent is not bound to disclose the reasons for denial of security clearance to the petitioner company.”

The government made it clear that the renewal of permission of a TV channel is not a matter of right of a company, but is granted upon fulfilment of certain eligibility conditions as envisaged in the policy guidelines.

“It is submitted that MHA (Ministry of Home Affairs) has informed that the denial of security clearance is based on intelligence inputs, which are sensitive and secret in nature. Therefore, as a matter of policy and in the interest of the security of state and its establishments, the MHA does not disclose the reasons for denial,” it added in the affidavit.

The affidavit said the MHA, under Section 124 of the Indian Evidence Act, seeks privilege over its secret files and prays to this court that the contents of the files may not be disclosed to the petitioners, as such a disclosure may have far-reaching and unimaginable consequences in so far as national security is concerned.

The government said the reasons for denial were already submitted before the high court and the apex court, and if it were asked to submit such a report again, then it would be done in a sealed cover.

On March 15, the Supreme Court stayed the Centre’s ban on the Malayalam TV news channel.

A bench headed by Justice D.Y. Chandrachud said: “At the present stage, we are of the view that a case for the grant of interim relief has been made out on behalf of the petitioners having due regard to the contents of the files which have been perused by the court.”

The bench, also comprising Justices Surya Kant and Vikram Nath, added: “We accordingly order and direct that pending further orders, the order of the Union government dated January 31, 2022 revoking the security clearance which was granted to the petitioner, Madhyamam Broadcasting Limited, shall remain stayed.”

The bench allowed the petitioners to continue operating the news and current affairs TV channel the same basis on which the channel was being operated immediately prior to the revocation of the clearance.

On March 10, the Supreme Court issued notice on a plea by Media One challenging the Kerala High Court’s March 2 order, which upheld the Centre’s decision to not renew its telecast licence on national security grounds.

Media One had moved the top court after the high court upheld the ban imposed on it by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, with a division bench of Chief Justice S. Manikumar and Justice Shaji P. Chali noting when certain issues with respect to the security of the state are concerned, the government is at liberty to decline to renew the permission granted, without disclosing the complete reasons for the non-renewal.

It had thus dismissed the appeals filed by the channel’s management and journalists challenging a February 9 single-bench order, which refused to lift the ban.

Return of Taliban destabilizes region: conflict in Tajikistan’s Gorno-Badakhshan

0

The return of Taliban in Kabul is already extracting costs in the region. While inside Afghanistan itself time may slowly but steadily be moving back into the stone age, happenings there can be glossed over as internal affairs of that country. The violence, however, has already spilled over into neighbouring countries. Pakistan, and many would agree rightly, is bearing the maximum brunt of it till now. However, other countries have not been spared.

Recently, there were reports, not in the least unclaimed by the ISIS-Khorasan group itself about shooting missiles into neighbouring Uzbekistan. Uzbek authorities, however, have denied such reports. Now, it is neighbouring Tajikistan that is engulfed in violence, especially in the Gorno-Badakhshan autonomous region, which borders Afghanistan.

The Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast (GBAO) is the Tajik part of the Badakhshan region, the other half of which lies in Afghanistan. The Pyanj river divides the two; GBAO borders on its east with China, as well as with Kyrgystan and Uzbekistan in the north and west. Hence, the region is quite strategically located, though having almost no fertile land, all of it being mountainous. It was the centre of the brutal Tajik civil war of 1992-1997, during which time it also declared secession from Tajikistan. Peace was achieved by granting the region greater autonomy.

Tensions have been simmering in this mountainous region since November of last year when security forces killed a 29-year-old man, Gulbiddin Ziyobekov. This spurred local dissatisfaction, and by May 16, fighting started. Government forces backed by helicopters moved to crush local resistance. Since then, almost 30 people have died, including local leaders, the internet has been banned, and a number of activists taken into custody.

Reasons for tensions in the region are manifold. There is a general sense of neglect from the centre, unemployment, lack of opportunities and infrastructure in the region. Furthermore, the representatives of Dushanbe are perceived to be derisive of the local Pamiri population, which has allowed local self-styled leaders to spring up, perpetuating the friction between officials and local unofficial leaders. But in this cauldron, there are several interesting twists.

For one, in spite of the general neglect and backwardness of the place, GBAO is rich in minerals. However, mining rights have been handed over by the Tajik government of President Emamoli Rahmanov to the Chinese. This, much like in Balochistan, has been a source of local angst. Furthermore, this is the place where the Chinese plan to build their military base, to keep an eye on Afghanistan.

On the other hand, since the Taliban took power in Kabul in August 2021, there have been several clashes on the Afghan-Tajik border. Even before the Taliban takeover, cadres of Tajik Taliban had been manning the border on the Afghan side with sporadic clashes. Even as tensions simmered, the Islamic State Khorasan claimed responsibility for an attack on May 8 this year inside GBAO. Then on May 15 again, there were reports of clashes on the Afghan-Tajik border.

While attention has largely been focussed Russia’s ‘special military operation’ in Ukraine, this part of the region demands attention no less. Here the ambitions of a number of regional powers clash – Tajikistan, Russia, China, Afghanistan. Coming soon after the unprecedented uprisings in Kazakhstan earlier this year, watched eagerly across the region, the authorities, in spite of heavy-handed operations, have reason to worry.

During the Tajik civil war, GBAO had declared itself independent of Tajikistan. The civil war itself was a by-product of the Afghan jihad. The spectre of a repetition haunts the Tajik security forces. In Kazakhstan, radical elements had infiltrated what began as a popular movement. The same can be said about GBAO. Of all Afghanistan’s Central Asian neighbours, it is Tajikistan alone that has not welcomed the Taliban. And, anticipating the spillover of the Afghan chaos, Tajikistan had been fortifying its borders, shoring up security there, together with Russia and the Russian-led Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO).

In fact, Tajikistan gave a huge snub to then Pakistani foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, when during his visit to Dushanbe he was told in no clear terms that the Taliban had to address Tajik concerns inside Afghanistan and form a broad-based government for recognition. Tajikistan then went on to confer its highest honour on the late Ahmed Shah Massoud, whose son at that time was leading the lone resistance in the Panjshir Valley to the Taliban.

Currently, much of the Tajik National Resistance Front of Afghanistan are based in Tajikistan. While many of the demands of the people of GBAO are legitimate, yet, the current spate of violence may not be all to do with them. There is reason to believe that the unrest may not remain limited to GBAO. The Tajik authorities, thus, have their task cut out for them – to not allow the Afghan chaos to spill over into their territory, while also addressing the concerns of the GBAO region.
