Terrorists kill bank manager Vijay Kumar in J&K’s Kulgam

The manager of a regional rural bank (Ellaquai Dehati Bank) was shot dead by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Thursday. Police sources said the terrorists shot and critically injured the manager, identified as Vijay Kumar of Rajasthan.

Kumar was working as the manager of a regional rural bank (Ellaquai Dehati Bank) in Areah village branch of Kulgam district. He was attacked in the morning as he was entering the bank branch, said police sources.

“He was shifted to a hospital where doctors said he was dead on arrival. The area has been cordoned off for searches”, sources said. CCTV footage has emerged which shows how the terrorist entered the bank and shot dead manager Vijay Kumar. A resident of Hanumangarh district in Rajasthan, Kumar had only recently joined his posting in Kulgam and was newly wed as well.

On May 31, terrorists killed Rajni Bala, a non-local teacher in the same district. She belonged to Samba district of Jammu division. Just days before, government employee Rahul Bhat was murdered.

The targeted killings of Hindus and other minorities, both locals and migrant workers, has been ongoing in Kashmir for almost an year now. Even Muslims deemed ‘un-Islamic’ or ‘police informers’ are being targeted.

Meanwhile, secular politicians and Lutyens’ elites are batting for talks with the same Pakistan that is sponsoring this terror, citing ‘positive signals’ from Pak Army Chief Bajwa and new PM Shehbaz Sharif. For them, blood of ordinary Hindus, soldiers and civilians is indeed very cheap.
