Attacks on Hindus and Hindu Dharma, both in Bharat and overseas, are frequent and unrelenting. In many regions of the world, this persecution is like a genocide slowly unfolding before our eyes. For decades, the world has ignored the actual depth and breadth of these attacks, driven by disturbing anti-Hindu bigotry. From murders, forced conversions, land grabs, assault on festivals, desecration of temples and murtis, hate speech, and sexual violence to institutionalised & legal discrimination, Hindus are facing an increasing assault on their very existence along with an unprecedented Hindu hatred.
In this weekly summary for the period from 19 July to 25 July 2026, we hope to provide a snapshot of such crimes and hopefully awaken more people around the world to this human rights crisis:
Bharat
1) In a dramatic intervention that has sent shockwaves through Rajasthan’s Janjatiya belt, seven Janjatiya children—two girls and five boys aged between seven and twelve years—were rescued by Goa Railway Police, while allegedly being trafficked from Udaipur district to Tamil Nadu under the pretext of free education. This multi-state transit pattern suggests the existence of a coordinated network with logistical capabilities spanning at least three states—Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Goa—with Tamil Nadu as the operational hub for Christian conversion mafia activities.
2) A Delhi court convicted former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) councilor Tahir Hussain and four others for the murder of Intelligence Bureau (IB) staffer Ankit Sharma during the 2020 northeast Delhi anti-Hindu riots. For the last six years, Hindudveshi leftist media has been whitewashing his crime.
3) Shri Shivaji, the founding president of the Hindu Munnani, filed a complaint at the H-8 police station in Chennai to stop the alleged slaughter of calves. He then led the police to the location where he believed the calves were to be slaughtered. According to reports, the person concerned informed some Muslim organizations about the police action, after which a Muslim mob of approximately 200 people gathered at the scene. It is alleged that they assaulted Shri Shivaji in the presence of the police, snatched his vehicle, and threatened to kill him.
4) A math teacher at a private school in Chapra city has been accused of molesting and misbehaving with a student. This incident in the divisional headquarters Saran has raised serious questions about the safety of Hindu students, especially girls in private schools, prompt redressal of complaints and accountability of school management. A huge uproar occurred after teacher Inam Raza, was accused of molesting and indecent behavior with a Hindu girl student. He was brought to Bhagwan Bazar police station, where the police took him into custody and started questioning. An FIR has been registered in the case and further legal action is being taken.
5) As per reports, the NIA has filed a chargesheet against five accused, alleging that they were active members of ISIS/ISIL/Daesh and had conspired to identify, radicalize, and recruit Islamist youth from Bengaluru to join the terrorist organization. Investigators allege that the accused organized so-called personality development programs under the banner of Iqra Camp and conducted regular Quran Circle study sessions, which were allegedly used as platforms for ideological indoctrination and recruitment.
6) As the Karur ‘inam’ lands issue simmers, official audit reports and government records have once again brought attention to longstanding allegations surrounding the Vedaranyeswarar Temple in Vedaranyam, where thousands of acres of temple land and other assets are alleged to have been lost, encroached upon or remained tied up in disputes for decades.
7) In a major food safety enforcement action, the Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a prohibition order to Aqsa Bakery in Pimpri-Chinchwad’s Moshi, and shut it down immediately after an inspection revealed that the bakery was operating in violation of food safety and hygiene. The action against Aqsa Bakery has come after Sakal Hindu Samaj and local Hindu activists raised concerns regarding an illegal beef slaughterhouse running under the guise of a bakery in Moshi for the past five years.
Most hate crimes are driven by anti-Hindu bigotry encoded in certain religious teachings and political ideologies. While the anti-Hindu hate in Islamic countries is evident, there is another subtler form of anti-Hindu sentiment within institutions and the public sphere of ostensibly secular states (like India) that provides an enabling environment for Hinduphobia and hate crimes. This subtle, everyday discrimination can be missed unless one studies prevailing laws and patterns. The gradual ban on firecrackers during Diwali is a good example – it might seem pollution-related on the surface. Still, the double standards at play become apparent when one looks at the larger picture of restrictions on Hindu festivals and the lack of sound reasoning behind the ban.
We request all readers to share other anti-Hindu hate crimes that we might have missed in this period in the comments below or by emailing [email protected]. We also solicit support in maintaining the Hindu human rights tracker database.
