Fridge repairman Asif rapes customer after finding her alone in house: UP

A married woman was raped inside her house in Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad district on Saturday by fridge repairman Asif, police said. The accused was arrested on Monday.

SHO Dhananjay Singh of Majhola police station said that the victim and her husband had given a complaint that the accused Asif alias Rihan, a resident of Sirkoi Bhur, used to come to her house to repair electrical devices. On December 3, Asif came to her house to repair the fridge. Seeing the victim alone in the house, Asif locked her in a room and raped her. After threatening her to keep quiet, he fled.

Later, when her husband returned from work, the traumatized woman told him about what had happened. They reached the police station and lodged a complaint.

Inspector Dhananjay Singh said that on the basis of the complaint, a case of rape was registered against the accused on Sunday and Asif alias Rihan was arrested on Monday.

In the past, there have been cases of Muslim plumbers, carpenters, tutors, teachers, tile layers, food delivery executives, taxi drivers, auto rickshaw drivers, newspaper delivery boys raping/molesting their Hindu customers, or grooming the daughters of the house to elope.

Unless the Indian State develops the courage to tackle the root cause, the Islamist religious indoctrination which encourages Muslim men to prey on non-Muslim women, Hindus must exercise every precaution such as social distancing and community policing to protect themselves.

  1. All the service staff that one encounters in any major Indian city comprise lot of Muslims. And not all, but many of them have some kind of thought of Hindu woman as a eroticised “maal-e-ghanimat” promised to them by the one whose name shall not be taken. So what is the way out? It is not practical to screen every single visitor to the house, or to be at home each time such a fellow comes. Hindu men are busy doing an honest day’s job! Kya kar sakte hain? This is a serious problem. Have to try to keep phone contact with home during such visits: that’s the best Hindu men can try to do…
