Congress MP Praniti Shinde is following the footsteps of her ‘illustrious’ father Sushilkumar Shinde in slandering Bharat and Hindus.
Praniti Shinde calls Operation Sindoor a ‘tamasha’
Congress MP Praniti Shinde stirred controversy in the Lok Sabha by referring to Operation Sindoor as a ‘tamasha’ or media stunt ‘orchestrated’ by the Modi government. She questioned the operation’s actual outcomes, asking how many terrorists were caught and what results it yielded. Her statement calling for ‘accountability’ for the ‘loss’ of Bharat’s fighter jets is another lie that Pakistan has been planting and Congress has been faithfully repeating. The Army has already clarified its stance regarding the ‘loss’ of fighter jets. However, the Congress has no faith in the Army because it is used to siding with and shielding terrorists.
According to Shinde, the timing and presentation of the operation seemed designed more for ‘electoral benefit’ than national security. Her remarks sparked sharp backlash from BJP members and supporters, who accused her of insulting the armed forces. Protests broke out in her constituency, Solapur, where BJP workers staged demonstrations, including one where her photo was placed on a donkey and slogans were raised against her.
Not surprisingly Shinde, refused to apologize while name calling the protestors as “trolls and andhbhakts,” a term often used for aggressive online BJP supporters. Following the uproar, the term “tamasha” was expunged from the Lok Sabha records on the Speaker’s order. Meanwhile, the overall debate on Operation Sindoor in Parliament became intense.
LJP (Ram Vilas) MP Shambhavi Choudhary strongly responded, saying that today’s Bharat doesn’t just grieve over terrorist attacks but fights back. She said when the nation is in danger, Bharat knows how to take up weapons like Prabhu Sri Ram’s bow and Sri Krishna’s Sudarshan Chakra. Criticizing some people, she added that it’s unfortunate they feel more sympathy for Palestine than for places like Pahalgam in India, just because it doesn’t support their political goals. However, it is yet again clear that the likes of Praniti Shinde have no other qualification than nepotism and loyaty to Congress’ ‘first family’ meaning the Nehru family.
Praniti Shinde’s inspiration was none other than Rahul Gandhi. Gandhi called Operation Sindoor a public relations exercise meant to protect Modi’s image, claimed the military’s hands were tied, and accused the government of lacking political will. Much of his speech was nothing but slander and high-pitched noise masked as ‘anger to demand accountability’ from the Modi government.
BJP leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit took the opposition to the cleaners while emphasizing that the response was an apt one to cross-border terrorism and added no international power asked Bharat to hold back.
How Congress raised the red herring of Hindutva terror
Congress has always stood against national interest. While the Modi government has always acted against terrorism, one might recall all Congress did was send dossiers to Pakistan. Hindus are fortunate that constable Tukaram Ombale caught Ajmal Kasab alive otherwise Congress would have conveniently shielded Pakistani terrorists by blaming RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) and Hindus for the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. Even after Kasab was caught, the Congress propagated the myth of saffron terrorism. Moreover, UPA-2 Government led by PM Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi released 25 hardcore Pakistani terrorists lodged in various jails of Bharat to Pakistan in May, 2010 as a ‘goodwill gesture’ in an effort to ‘repair ties with Pakistan’.
Even though then Home Minister and Praniti Shinde’s father, Sushilkumar Shinde, ‘admitted‘ that coining the term ‘saffron terror’ was a ‘mistake’, various Congress leaders have tried to propagate this myth multiple times.
In 2013, then Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde sparked outrage by accusing the BJP and RSS of spreading ‘Hindu terrorism’ through their so-called training camps. He went further to blame Hindus for the Mecca Masjid blast in Hyderabad—an accusation that has since been thoroughly debunked and exposed as false.
Even before that, in 2010, former Home Minister P. Chidambaram irresponsibly warned law enforcement about what he called the rise of ‘saffron terror,’ a term that painted an entire community with suspicion without credible evidence.
Adding fuel to the fire, senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh, in 2013, questioned why all alleged ‘Hindu terrorists’ were linked to the RSS. Yet, in a clear display of political inconsistency, he backtracked just two years later, criticizing the use of the term ‘saffron terror’ he once endorsed.
When their attempts to slander Hindus has failed and the electorate has kept them out of power for the third straiight term, Congress is desperately trying to discredit the Modi government. However, in doing so they are showing their true Hindudveshi and anti-national colours.
