In yet another case of assault on Hindu Dalit women by Muslim goons, two women and a minor girl of a family were assaulted by a gang of Muslim men in UP’s Pratapgarh.
The incident took place in the district’s Kanhai police station area. The Muslim men attempted to rape 2 women and a minor girl of the house, and tore off their clothes. When the rape attempt failed, the perpetrators opened fire and attacked the women with axes & sticks.
The women incurred serious injuries in the deadly attack. They were taken to the primary health center by the UP 100 police team. Considering their critical condition, they were then referred to the district hospital where they are currently being treated. The ghastly attack has instilled fear in the Dalit family.
The Dalit family has alleged that a Muslim family from the same village has been fighting with them over land for some time now. These goons used to threaten them to give them their land, but they didn’t succumb. On Thursday evening, Shakil, Shahid, Mohammad Ali and others entered their house and unleashed the brutal assault.
When the head of the family heard the commotion, he ran towards the house to rescue the women. The goons left the house when they saw him approach. The family called UP 100 and police arrived at the scene and took the victims to the hospital. They have started searching for the accused.
