While DMK govt shadow bans Kerala Story, minor raped, college girl missing in 2 incidents of grooming jihad in TN

2 cases of grooming jihad have come to light in Tamil Nadu even as the DMK government is indirectly trying to ban The Kerala Story. A minor and a college girl were abducted by Muslim men who promised to marry them. The minor girl was raped by 3 Muslim men repeatedly while the college girl’s family worry that she could be sold and sent abroad.

Like elsewhere, The Kerala Story faces opposition from Islamists in Tamil Nadu as well and has been pulled down from screens. Makers of the movie filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the shadow ban on screening it in the state. The DMK government gave a ridiculous reason saying that theatre owners stopped showing the movie due to poor response.

In the meantime 2 cases of grooming jihad have come to light from the state in which a minor girl was raped by 3 Muslim men and a college girl is suspected to have been kidnapped. A 16 year old girl from Manapparai, Trichy was trapped by 32 year old Mubarak Ali. He reportedly started grooming her by giving missed calls. The girl was working in an incense manufacturing unit and went missing on May 1.

When she didn’t return home her parents started searching for her and a police complaint was filed. Cops looked into the call history of her mobile number and found that Mubarak Ali who contacted her often was in Bengaluru. They rescued the girl as she was being boarded into a train by 2 men and arrested them. Investigation revealed that Mubarak Ali initially contacted her by giving a missed call and continued the communication.

He groomed the girl by promising to marry her. A Malaimalar report says that he took her to Bengaluru on May 1 and sexually abused her. He reportedly introduced her to his parents and told them about his intention to marry her. But they disagreed and asked him to leave the girl. Ali sent the girl to Niyax and Sadam Hussain of Vellore. Both of them threatened her and lied that they would marry her and raped her many times.

All three have been arrested and booked under relevant sections of IPC for kidnapping the girl and under the POCSO Act for sexually abusing her. The Malaimalar report says that cops took great care to hide the rapists’ faces with cloth and their identities weren’t revealed.

In another incident, the parents of a college girl submitted a petition to the Erode Police Commissioner seeking to find their daughter abducted by a Muslim man. Sandhya, a 19 year old college girl from Erode reportedly built a relationship with Alaudin, a neighbour. Her parents warned her against it and tried to stop her from meeting Alaudin. But she didn’t pay heed and continued her communication with him.

On May 9, when the girl’s mother saw her talking to Alaudin, she warned them and asked her daughter to go home. But when she returned home she found that Sandhya was missing and that she had taken her school certificates with her. After failing to find her parents lodged a complaint in the local police station. It is alleged that the police did not take any measures to find Sandhya.

Fed up with their inaction, Sandhya’s parents submitted a petition to the Police Commissioner of Erode requesting to find their daughter. Alaudin is a history-sheeter with offences ranging from burglary, and ATM robbery to kidnapping. Sandhya’s parents fear that Alaudin will kill or sell their daughter and send her abroad.

Hindu Munnani, a Hindu outfit working for the welfare of Tamil Hindus, alleges that another woman from the Pudukottai district was trapped in grooming jihad. Hindu post hasn’t been able to independently verify this as no media report is available about the same.

While liberals label The Kerala Story, a rare attempt at spreading awareness about grooming jihad, as propaganda, Hindu women are falling victim to the hateful ideology every day.
