The mysterious death of 24-year-old Isha Sau, a Wipro employee from Baranagar in North 24 Parganas, has sparked outrage across West Bengal, with family members alleging that she was trapped in a relationship by a Muslim man who had allegedly concealed his religious identity by posing as a Hindu. The tragic incident has reignited concerns over cases involving identity fraud by Muslims in relationships with Hindu girls, and has led to growing demands for a thorough investigation by the Hindu community.

How the Relationship Began

According to allegations made by the victim’s family and reported by India Hood, Isha Sau had been in a relationship with the Muslim man who introduced himself as a Hindu and hid his actual religious identity.

The family claims that Isha became emotionally involved with him believing he belonged to the same faith. It was only later that questions reportedly emerged regarding his real identity, leading to tensions and disputes.

Events Leading Up to the Death

According to the report, the incident took place at the family’s residence on Nabin Chandra Das Road in Baranagar during the early hours of October 4. Family members allege that the accused arrived at the flat between 3:30 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. along with three or four associates.

The victim’s mother allegedly objected to their entry into the home. According to the family’s account, she was assaulted and abused when she attempted to stop them. The family further claims that the accused and his associates then confronted Isha and took her towards the rooftop of the five-storey building.

It is stated that a heated altercation took place shortly before the young woman fell from the building. The precise circumstances surrounding her fall remain disputed and are currently part of the police investigation.

Residents Hear Loud Impact

Residents of the housing complex reportedly rushed outside after hearing a loud thud. They found Isha lying in a pool of blood below the building. According to the family’s allegations, the accused and his associates fled the scene immediately afterwards, leaving behind motorcycles that were later noticed by locals.

Police from Baranagar Police Station reached the spot and shifted the critically injured woman to Sagar Dutta Medical College and Hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
