Dharmasthala, revered as one of the sacred Hindu pilgrimage centers in Karnataka, stands as a pillar of faith, service, and compassion. Rooted in the timeless tradition of Annadanam, the sacred offering of free Prasada bhojanam (meals) to every devotee irrespective of caste, creed, or religion, Dharmasthala serves nearly 60,000 people daily, upholding the essence of Hindu Dharma in its purest form. For centuries, the institution has been nurtured under the guardianship of the Heggade family, who embody the ideals of charity, justice, and social welfare. This temple town is not merely a place of worship; it is a living institution that gives life and livelihood to thousands of workers, sustains countless families, and preserves Bharat’s cultural and spiritual heritage with dignity.
It is against this backdrop of sanctity and service that the recent malicious propaganda by YouTuber MD Sameer stands exposed. What was initially projected as shocking revelations against Dharmasthala has now been revealed to be nothing more than fabricated lies and an orchestrated conspiracy aimed at defaming the sacred Hindu institution. As HinduPost first uncovered, every claim made in Sameer’s videos collapses under scrutiny, proving them to be baseless attacks on a temple that has, for centuries, dedicated itself to humanity’s service.
Who is Sameer MD??
MD Sameer, alias Mohammed Sameer, who operates on social media platforms under the guise of a YouTuber and self-styled truth-teller, has emerged as a controversial figure known more for creating sensational narratives than for presenting facts. Instead of genuine journalism or balanced reporting, his content has repeatedly relied on half-truths, misrepresentations, and outright fabrications to target sacred Hindu institutions. Coming from a background that has little to do with spiritual, cultural, or social service, Sameer’s sudden focus on Dharmasthala raises serious questions about his motives and the forces backing his smear campaign. Far from being a neutral commentator, he has consistently displayed a pattern of selective targeting of Hindu religious places while maintaining silence on similar issues elsewhere.
The so-called exposes of Sameer are nothing more than a carefully orchestrated propaganda war, crafted to erode public trust in institutions that have stood as pillars of faith and service for centuries. His methods are textbook examples of disinformation: taking isolated incidents, twisting them out of context, and then amplifying them with provocative language to inflame public sentiment. It is now clear that his recent attacks on Dharmasthala were based on fabricated claims, without a shred of verifiable evidence. By doing so, Sameer not only attempted to tarnish the reputation of an institution revered by millions in Karnataka. His background as a professional propagandist masquerading as a YouTuber must be exposed so that people recognize the agenda behind his narratives.

Interestingly, a section of the left-leaning media has tried to whitewash and glorify Sameer, portraying him as some bold investigative creator rather than the propagandist he truly is. By highlighting his so-called unsolved mysteries, social investigations, and political analyses, these outlets attempt to lend legitimacy to his unverified narratives. They even go so far as to list his videos and viewership numbers, including his highly controversial series like “Serial Killers of Dharmasthala” and the “Soujanya Murder Case,” as though popularity equates to truth. This is a classic tactic of agenda-driven media: present propaganda as research, amplify conspiracy-laced content, and cloak it in the language of activism. Far from exposing injustice, such coverage only emboldens Sameer’s smear campaigns and gives oxygen to fabricated allegations against revered institutions like Dharmasthala.
Why does Sameer ignore the Ajmer Dargah scandal but target Hindu temples with fake propaganda?
What exposes the hypocrisy of propagandists like MD Sameer even further is his complete silence on the brutal Ajmer Dargah scandal. Every Bharatiya knows about the shocking case where scores of Hindu minor girls were lured, blackmailed, sexually exploited, and trafficked by an organized Islamist network operating from Ajmer. This was not just an isolated crime but one of the darkest chapters in independent Bharat’s history, where innocent young girls were preyed upon and destroyed by predators shielded by religious influence. The horror of Ajmer Dargah still scars thousands of families across Bharat, yet not a single word of condemnation has ever come from Sameer.
Instead, he shamelessly boasts in his reels that he visited Ajmer Dargah this year during his birthday, portraying it as a place of holiness and pride, while deliberately suppressing the blood-curdling crimes committed there. Why is he silent when it comes to the monstrous exploitation of Hindu girls in Ajmer? Why can he not speak about the brutality and the systemic cover-ups at a site that should have faced national outrage? Being an Islamist influencer, he carefully chooses to stay quiet on the crimes of his own community but becomes hyperactive in spreading lies about Dharmasthala. His selective outrage and fake propaganda make it clear: this is not about truth or justice, but about targeting the Hindu dharma alone.
Dharmasthala conspiracy: from fake testimonies to fake videos
The entire controversy took a dramatic turn when Sujatha Bhat, the woman who had been projected as a grieving mother, admitted that her entire testimony was fake. She had earlier claimed that her daughter, Ananya Bhat, went missing from Dharmasthala in 2003, fueling wild conspiracy theories of mass burials, sexual assault, and cover-ups. However, she has now publicly confessed that no such daughter ever existed and that she was brainwashed into lying by activists Girish Mattannavar and T Jayanti, who were running a coordinated campaign to defame Dharmasthala and malign its religious reputation.
Sujatha Bhat revealed that she was manipulated into spreading these falsehoods due to a family property dispute with the Dharmasthala temple administration. She admitted that the picture presented as evidence of Ananya’s existence was also fabricated. In her confession, Bhat expressed deep regret and apologized to the devotees of Bhagwan Manjunatha and the people of Karnataka for hurting their religious sentiments, acknowledging that she had been used as a pawn in a propaganda war against the temple. Her admission exposed the sinister motives of those who sought to malign one of the most revered religious and cultural centers of Hindus in the state.
Shockingly, Sameer went a step further by narrating the same false story put out by Sujatha Bhat, even creating an AI-generated video presenting it as reality. He propagated the fabricated tale of a missing daughter and mass burials in Dharmasthala as if it were a proven fact. However, when repeatedly questioned by the media, Sujatha Bhat herself admitted that the entire narrative was nothing but a fabrication, completely exposing Sameer’s and the whole anti-Dharmasthala group’s propaganda.
Another outfit called United Media was also busy churning out propaganda videos on the same fake Dharmasthala narrative. During a YouTube live session, PowerTV chairperson Ramesh Shetty caught their representative red-handed while spreading the fabricated story. On the spot, Shetty exposed the lies and grilled him publicly for attempting to mislead viewers with baseless, anti-Hindu propaganda.
SIT grills Sameer over Dharmasthala propaganda video
The Dharmasthala police registered a suo motu case against Sameer for spreading false information through an AI-generated video on the so-called mass burials case, which went far beyond even the fabricated claims made in the official complaint. The video, loaded with fake details, was designed to create public outrage and malign the reputation of the temple town.
Based on this, cases were booked against Sameer under Sections 192, 240, and 353(1)(b) of the BNS at Dharmasthala Police Station. He was served multiple notices to appear before the investigation officer. After obtaining anticipatory bail from the Dakshina Kannada Principal District and Sessions Court on August 21 on a personal bond of ₹75,000, Sameer finally appeared before the Belthangady police along with his advocates.
The bail conditions clearly restrict him from committing any similar offense, absconding, or attempting to influence witnesses. He is also bound to cooperate with the Special Investigation Team whenever summoned. By calling him in for inquiry, the SIT has tightened its probe into how orchestrated propaganda, aided by influencers like Sameer, attempted to malign Dharmasthala with baseless allegations.
As per reports and viral posts on X, Sameer entered the Belthangady police station for inquiry with a lot of attitude, posing for cameras while carrying a bundle of printouts in his hand. However, official sources later revealed that the moment SIT officers grilled him face-to-face over his fake narration, the swagger disappeared, he turned speechless, and he even shivered during questioning.
The Dharmasthala conspiracy is now taking a darker turn with alleged links pointing beyond Karnataka. According to ongoing discussions, the masked man identified as Chinnayya alias Bheema, along with Sujatha Bhat, is suspected to have undergone training in Delhi to refine strategies for spreading propaganda. These activities are reportedly connected to the Mattannavar-Timarodi gang, whose operations have long raised suspicion of deeper political and financial backing.
As per Communemag, adding fuel to the fire, former BJP Minister Gaali Janardhan Reddy allegedly stated that Congress MP Sasikanth Senthil is the mastermind behind this entire conspiracy, and that his political circles may have provided the bridge between local miscreants and national-level handlers. The allegation raises a serious question: what is the Delhi link in the Dharmasthala propaganda machinery, and who is financing it? While the SIT has yet to crack the funding trail, the possibility of a deeper nexus reaching the capital has rattled Karnataka’s political landscape.
Sulibele declares victory against Dharmasthala conspiracy
As per Public TV, activist Chakravarti Sulibele declared that the exposure of lies around the Dharmasthala conspiracy was nothing short of a victory for truth. Speaking at the “Dharma Rakshane” convention in Bengaluru, he said he had always known the propaganda was fabricated and called for a final nail to be driven into the conspiracy spread by YouTuber Sameer and his allies. Sulibele accused Sameer of brainwashing people with AI-generated lies, while questioning the motives of those who deliberately twisted the Soujanya case to malign Dharmasthala and its Dharmadhikari.
He hit out strongly at activists like Mahesh Shetty Thimmarodi and Girish Mattannavar, accusing them of fueling caste-based hatred and floating baseless stories, from claiming that Sujatha Bhat’s daughter was raped, to alleging that members of the Jain community were involved in Soujanya’s case. Sulibele pointed out that even after such accusations were proven false, propagandists continued to repeat them in order to keep the conspiracy alive. He recalled how Thimmarodi had publicly threatened him but was silenced when locals, including Dharmasthala auto drivers, stood firmly with him.
Sulibele also slammed the hypocrisy of his opponents, noting that while they accused him of being paid off, they themselves thrived on lies and manipulation. He said the conspiracy was built on false testimonies, fabricated stories, and wild theories like “digging up anthills” instead of a real investigation. He reiterated that the entire Dharmasthala narrative was a manufactured plot to malign revered institutions and leaders. Citing a recent Supreme Court ruling in his favor, Sulibele said he would continue to speak without fear and expose those orchestrating propaganda against Hindu religious centers.
Editor’s note
As long as individuals driven by Islamist agendas, people like Sameer Mohammed, continue to operate, they will keep casting their eyes on Hindus, targeting our temples, our mandirs, our unity, and attempting to weaken the very strength that holds our community together. Who are they to point fingers at us? Let them first confront the predatory conversion rackets, the exploitation, and the systemic assaults emerging from within their own fold. Instead, they resort to manufacturing lies, fake narratives, and cheap tricks like AI-generated propaganda videos to malign Hindus and our sacred institutions. Hindus must remain vigilant, refuse to fall into these traps, and stand united against every attempt to demonize our faith and culture.
