Cook arrested for spitting in roti dough at Madeena Hotel in Ghaziabad, UP

Hindu society has been trapped in a vicious cycle, where it is being attacked from all sides. Radical Islamists are waging many types of Jihad against Hindus. Sometimes love/grooming jihad, sometimes land jihad, sometimes by attacking temples & our religious symbols, and sometimes to bring about demographic change by increasing illegal infiltration and population.

Apart from all these, there is another type of jihad which is very disgusting, that is spitting in food items or serving rotten food. The sole objective of this jihad is to demean and corrupt the ethos of Hindus aka infidels. At times, it could also be because of superstitions spread by maulanas about ‘making food halal (permissible) by blowing or spitting on it while uttering prayers to Allah’.

Unfortunately, such incidents are rising, but fortunately they are also being caught and more people are becoming aware as such videos surface.

In another such incident, a Muslim cook has been arrested for spitting in the dough before making rotis at a roadside eatery ‘Hotel Madeena’ in Sahibabad area of Ghaziabad district, Uttar Pradesh. This incident happened on January 19, when a video of the said person went viral on social media. Police have lodged a criminal case against the cook — who has been identified as Nasiruddin of Kishan Ganj, Bihar.

As per Poonam Mishra, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Sahibabad), an FIR has been registered under 269 of the Indian Penal Code (negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life) and 270 (malignant act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life) at the Teela Mor police station. The accused Nasiruddin has been arrested and further legal action is being taken.

The issue came to light after a video of Nasiruddin spitting on the dough while preparing rotis went viral on social media. In the said video, Nasiruddin was seen indulging in the unhygienic act. The man recording the footage was heard saying, “Why are you feeding spit-filled rotis to people? Hindus might be eating it. Even Muslims might be eating it. What is the objective behind serving such rotis?”

Here it is important to note that this is not a one-off incident of a Muslim cook spitting on food. We have seen numerous such incidents in the past and several videos have been surfaced in Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Meerut in recent times.

In April 2022, a local journalist of Ghaziabad shot a video of a man spitting on rotis, which went viral on social media. This video was shot during a wedding ceremony in Modinagar town in Ghaziabad, where the accused was handed over to the police for further action.

In March 2021, Mohammad Khalik was arrested from Delhi once a video of him spitting on the dough while preparing rotis in a tandoor had gone viral on social media. The police investigation revealed that Khalik used to work in Madeena hotel in Bhajanpura area, where he used to spit on rotis before putting them in the tandoor.

In March 2021, the Ghaziabad police arrested another man named Mohammad Mohsin, after a video of him spitting on rotis at a wedding ceremony went viral on social media. Although such incidents attract mild legal action at best, which reduces the deterrence for such criminal acts, why such heinous acts continue to be committed can be best answered by Muslim clerics and leaders of their community.

The government and local administration must frame some tough laws or guidelines to counter such incidents, while society as a whole needs to rise in strong condemnation and create social pressure against such uncivilized acts.
