“Future of Bollywood after the disaster that is Adipurush”, Swarajyamag, June 17, 2023:

“In a scene from the highly anticipated Bollywood film Adipurush that hit the screens yesterday, when Lord Hanuman enters Lanka as a messenger of Lord Ram, Meghnad sets his tail on fire and taunts him, “Jali na?”.

This utterance may ring a familiar bell for readers, reminiscent of a highly memefied line from 2004 romantic comedy Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, where Akshay Kumar similarly ridicules Salman Khan — “Jali na, teri bhi jali na?”

In response to Meghnad’s jibe, Hanuman retorts with a fiery comeback, “Kapda tere baap ka. Tel tere baap ka. Aag tere baap ki. Jalegi bhi tere baap ki….

More than 100 Mobile apps used for Conversion and Human Trafficking, Govt initiates action against the organized crime of about 5 thousand crores

On Sunday, Ghaziabad police arrested a man named Abdul Rehman alias Nanni, a resident of Ballia and currently living in Sanjay Nagar, Ghaziabad, for allegedly inciting and motivating two minors (a Hindu and a Jain) to engage in Islamic religious activities. A resident of Kavinagar police station area filed a complaint on May 30, alleging that his minor son has been converted to Islam.

Officials said that the plan was hatched by a Maharashtra resident, Shahnawaj Maksud, adding Rehman was helping him execute then plan.

Now, the Modi government has made major preparations to prevent crimes committed through mobile apps. Intelligence agencies have started monitoring more than 100 mobile apps running in the country considering them suspicious and used for illegal conversion and human trafficking. Sources related to central agencies tell that the crime network of such applications is more than 5 thousand crores.

There are many apps like Volunt, Ayat Gun Simulator, Team Fight, Riot, and Discord, which are suspected of proselytizing. The gamers are asked to say Quranic verses to move to the next stage in the game. In the process of getting answers, videos of Muslim religious leaders like Zakir Naik are shared, who get answers to questions as soon as they see them. Then in the end someone keeps in touch with them to brainwash them. As expected, a Muslim person with a Hindu name or fake identity gets in touch with them, and mislead them.

The modus operandi is very simple, the Gaming Jihad is being hatched to target ‘gullible victims’, that is Hindu youth. The culprits are using video games to lure them, brainwash them, and convert them to Islam.

It is said that these criminals won the trust of some children by helping them win online games. After gaining their trust, he reportedly taught them about Islam claiming that they would start winning games in the future. The accused reportedly asked victims to recite the Quran to win. In some cases, teenage boys who fell prey to this were also shown videos of Maulana Tariq Jameel and radical Muslim preacher Zakir Naik.

Now the names of these apps are coming to the fore. Many apps have become tools for human trafficking. Among these Jobin Abroad, Gulf Job, UK-US Job, etc. are prominent. Through these, people, especially girls, are given the pretext of jobs abroad. Many times people are taken abroad after extorting money and then left on their own.

Islamic Terrorists are running apps like Crypvizar, to remain in touch with each other and send messages. The network of terrorists and gangsters in the country has also become modern. When central agencies caught sight of some such apps, they were banned. But, the very next day they became active again with a new domain name. The names of these apps are Crypvisor, Enigma, SafeSwiss, Vikrami, Conion, Element, Jangi, Media Fire, Briar, Beechat, Nand Box, IMO, Second Line, Threema, etc.

The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) also wrote to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (Meity) to initiate an enquiry against online gaming platform “Fortnite” and instant messaging social platform “Discord” for their alleged involvement in religious conversion of a minor boy in Ghaziabad.

“The Commission has come across a news article, wherein it has been informed that two men including a Caretaker of a Mosque in Ghaziabad and a man from Mumbai were involved in religious conversion of a minor boy through an online gaming platform, Fortnite,” said NCPCR’s Chairperson Priyank Kanoongo in a letter to Alkesh Kumar Sharma, Secretary, Meity.

The NCPCR further stated, “The need to incorporate an effective framework to bar minors from accessing prohibited websites along with punishments is of utmost importance for the Commission…It is further to be enquired about the availability of such alleged online gaming platform over Android and iOS interfaces or on any browser…the Commission in best interest of the children deems it appropriate to ensure that best efforts are made to monitor the framework of such online gaming applications with respect to the restriction of the minor children to these platforms.”

In light of these incidents, the Modi government is mulling a ban on hundreds of gaming and applications, namely addictive games, betting apps, and harmful games. The objective is to address the concerns surrounding these gaming applications and promote a safer gaming environment.

“Hindu and Jain boys brainwashed to accept Islam through video game Fortnite: The modus operandi and the lessons that parents need to learn”, Opindia, June 16, 2023:

“You may have read about the recent case from Ghaziabad (Hindu, Jain boys lured to convert to Islam through game Fortnite (opindia.com)) where Jain and Hindu underage boys were groomed to accept Islam. News about targeting children for conversion is not uncommon.

Indian education sector under British rule was developed for the purpose of grooming our young. However, what is unique about this case is that this grooming happened on the internet using a game called Fortnite.

Fortnite is a very popular game in the “Battle Royale” genre where you have to survive in an ever-shrinking battle zone by eliminating other players or teams. The genre is not really important, what is important is as per this report (Fortnite by the Numbers: How Many Hours Are You Playing Each Week? | PCMag), players spend serious time in the imaginary world of this game. Almost 70% spend over 6 hours a week, and over 20% spend over 16 hours a week…..”

Biden administration supports terrorist organization in Bangladesh

0

The Biden administration and several lawmakers in the United States Congress are extending support towards Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), despite the fact that it is an undesignated terrorist organization, while the party’s current acting chairman Tarique Rahman is a convicted terrorist.

On August 21, 2004, at the direct instructions of Tarique Rahman, terrorists of BNP along with members of militancy outfits such as Harkat-ul-Jihad (HuJI) had launched grenade attacks targeting Sheikh Hasina and leaders of Awami League. According to the court verdict, this gruesome attack was a well-orchestrated plan through abuse of state power.

And all the accused, including BNP Senior Vice Chairman Tarique Rahman and former top intelligence officials, were found guilty and handed down various punishments for the grenade attacks that killed 24 people and injured scores. In the murder case, Tarique and 18 others were sentenced to life in prison.

Major General Gaganjit Singh, former Deputy Director General of Bharat’s Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), said BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman was the mastermind of 10 truck arms haul in Chattogram [Chittagong] in 2004.

Talking to India Today and a television channel in Bangladesh, he said the arms were being supplied under direct patronization of the then BNP-Jamaat alliance to use Bangladesh as a sanctuary.

Ten trucks full of arms seized at Chittagong in April 2004 was meant not only for the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) but also for a few other rebel groups in Bharat’s northeast to destabilize the country, he added. The arms were being supplied by taking advantage of the BNP-Jamaat alliance to use Bangladesh as a sanctuary, Singh revealed.

It may be mentioned here that, BNP tried to turn Bangladesh into a sharia state by spreading cocoons of terror while it has also been actively working in sponsoring cross-border terrorism and international terrorism with the nefarious agenda of spreading seeds of terrorism within the Bharatiya states.

According to court documents published by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) dated December 16, 2016, while giving verdict to an asylum petition of a BNP activist, an Immigration Judge in the United States found the petitioner to be credible but concluded that he was ineligible for asylum and withholding of removal due to his inadmissibility under section 212(a)(3)(B)(i)(VI) of the Act, 8 U.S.C. § 1182(a)(3)(B)(i)(VI), as a member of the BNP – which the Immigration Judge deemed to be an undesignated terrorist organization under section 212(a)(3)(B)(vi)(III) of the Act (I.J. at 3-6).2

But for the respondent’s inadmissibility under section 212(a)(3)(B) of the Act, the Immigration Judge would have granted the respondent’s application for asylum under section 208(b) of the Act based on showings of past persecution and a well-founded fear of future persecution in Bangladesh on account of his political opinion (I.J. at 6-9; Exh. 3 at 5; Tr. at 10, 22-40).

The court verdict further said:

Generally under the Act, a group is designated as a “terrorist organization” either by the Secretary of State pursuant to section 219 of the Act, 8 U.S.C. § 1189, or by publishing the designation in the Federal Register after the Secretary determines, in consultation with the Attorney General or Secretary of Homeland Security, that the group engages in “terrorist activity.” 5 See sections 212(a)(3)(B)(vi)(I), (II) of the Act. However, even if not so designated, a group may qualify as an undesignated “terrorist organization” if it is composed of “a group of two or more individuals, whether organized or not, which engages in, or has a subgroup which engages in [terrorist] activities.” Section 212(a)(3)(B)(vi)(III) of the Act. Nevertheless, even if an alien is a member of an undesignated terrorist organization he or she remains eligible to seek asylum and withholding of removal, if he or she can “demonstrate by clear and convincing evidence that [he or she] did not know, and should not reasonably have known, that the organization was a terrorist organization.” Section 212(a)(3)(B)(i)(VI) of the Act.

Unlike with designated terrorist organizations under sections 212(a)(3)(B)(vi)(I) and (II), a determination regarding a group’s status as an undesignated terrorist organization under section 212(a)(3)(B)(vi)(III) of the Act must be made on a case-by-case basis, in connection with an individual application for immigration benefits. See U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Servs., Dep’t of Homeland Security, Terrorism-Related Inadmissibility Grounds (TRIG), uscis.gov (follow “Laws” hyperlink; and then follow “Terrorism-Related Inadmissibility Grounds” hyperlink); see also Melanie Nezer, The Material Support Problem: Where US. Anti-Terrorism Laws, Refugee Protection, and Foreign Policy Collide, 13 Brown J. World Aff. 177, 179 (2006). For this reason, any determination regarding the BNP’s status as an undesignated terrorist organization under section 212(a)(3)(B)(vi)(III) of the Act is case-specific and must be based on the facts presented in each individual case.

According to the Department of Justice, Tier III terrorist organizations are also called “undesignated terrorist organizations” because they qualify as terrorist organizations based on their activities alone without undergoing a formal designation process like Tier I and Tier II organizations.

Neo-Taliban forces want to capture power in Bangladesh

Bangladesh Nationalist Party from its very birth under military dictator General Ziaur Rahman has been vigorously pushing-forward anti-Bharat, anti-Hindu and pro-Islamist agenda with the aim of turning Bangladesh into another Afghanistan or Pakistan. During BNP’s rule of 2001-2006, supporters of this party were seen openly chanting slogans Aamra Hobo Taliban, Bangla Hobey Afghan (We shall become Taliban, Bangla will turn into Afghanistan) and burning American flags on the streets of Dhaka and other major cities.

Furthermore, BNP had directly sponsored and patronized Islamist militancy outfit Jamaatul Mujahedin Bangladesh (JMB) while it was maintaining direct links with Harkat-ul Jihad (HuJI), Khatmey Nabuwat Movement (an anti-Ahmadia outfit) and were behind terrorist acts targeting religious minorities such as Hindus, Christians, Buddhists, Ahmadis and others.

It may be mentioned here that Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami is believed to have been founded as an offshoot of a Pakistani group in 1992 with money and support from suspected global terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden. Western intelligence officials believe a certain Fazlul Rahman, who signed bin Laden’s February 23, 1998, declaration of holy war on the US on behalf of the Jihad Movement in Bangladesh, is an associate of the now independent group.

China, Pakistan and Turkey eyeing Kashmir

When India hosted a key G20 conference in Srinagar, the capital of the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory of India, on May 22 and 23, even though the conference was reportedly attended by around 122 delegates, including 60 foreigners, it was boycotted by Pakistan as well as its longtime allies, China and Turkey.

Pakistan called the meeting “illegal.” Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India, but it is claimed by Pakistan, which has violently targeted the region through terror groups. Hundreds of people therefore rallied in the Pakistan-occupied area of Kashmir to protest the meeting.

Three G20 member countries (China, Saudi Arabia and Turkey) as well as two guest-countries invited by India (Egypt and Oman) were among those that did not send delegations. However, three Muslim countries did attend the meeting: Indonesia, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bangladesh.

During the meeting, India showcased its development work in the region, as well as the tourism potential of the Jammu and Kashmir. The International Centre for Peace Studies in New Delhi reported that prior to the conference, Pakistan attempted to undermine the event:

“Since May, secessionists supported by Pakistan have made persistent efforts to undermine the forthcoming G-20 event. In the border area of Poonch in the Jammu division, armed individuals following instructions from across the border have posed a threat to regional peace for over two weeks.

“The terrorist attack in Poonch resulted in the loss of five soldiers, with one terrorist neutralized and others still being pursued. Additionally, local sympathizers have been apprehended by the security forces.”

Kashmir, historically, is Hindu and Buddhist. For thousands of years, until the 14th century when Islamic invaders from Central Asia took control, it had a population that was majority-Hindu and Buddhist. Today, it is majority-Muslim. The history of the Islamization of indigenous non-Muslim populations of Kashmir is similar to that of the Middle East and North Africa: native non-Muslim peoples were first conquered by Islamic armies and then subjected to discrimination and persecution, which led to either death, conversion to Islam or departure/flight.

As the Hindu American Foundation notes:

“Ancient Kashmir was renowned as a center for Hindu and Buddhist learning and was ruled by Hindu kings until 1339. Hindus indigenous to the Kashmir Valley, known as Kashmiri Pandits, are the original inhabitants of Kashmir and have a unique ethno-religious culture that dates back more than 5,000 years.

“Following waves of Islamic invasions, numerous foreign origin Muslim rulers occupied Kashmir until 1819. Under Muslim rule, Hindus faced periods of persecution resulting in several mass migrations from Kashmir. Sikhs gained control over the region in 1819 and ruled Kashmir until 1846, followed by the Hindu Dogra (an ethnic group native to the Jammu region in the state) reign from 1846 to 1947.”

When the British partitioned India into two countries, India and Pakistan, in 1947, princely states such as Kashmir had the option of choosing to join secular India or Islamic Pakistan. After Pakistan’s armed forces invaded Kashmir in 1947, the Princely State of Kashmir, ruled by the Dogra King Hari Singh at the time of partition, joined the Indian Union

In 2019, the government of India abrogated Articles 370 and 35A of India’s Constitution, thereby bifurcating Jammu and Kashmir into two new Union Territories (UT): one for Jammu and Kashmir, and one for Ladakh. Pakistan and China occupy other parts of Kashmir.

The current population of Jammu and Kashmir is more than 12 million and Ladakh’s is over 270,000. Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (including Gilgit-Baltistan) has an estimated population of 6 million people. Due to killings and forced conversions, there are no Hindus remaining in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, although it is still home to ancient Hindu sacred sites.

The anti-Hindu violence culminated in 1989-1990 when Pakistan-sponsored insurgents carried out an ethnic cleansing campaign against the approximately 95% of the Hindus living in the Valley of Kashmir.

“Thousands of Hindus were killed, more than 30,000 homes, businesses, and places of worship destroyed or occupied. Approximately 350,000 Hindus were forced out of the region on threat of death. To this day they’ve largely been unable to return to their homes.”

In November 1998, Shri C.L Gadoo, President of the Kashmiri Samiti, delivered a speech at the British House of Commons in London on the Kashmir issue, noting the population collapse of indigenous Hindus as a result of Muslim extremism supported by Pakistan. He stated:

“We are members of the Kashmiri Pandit community which is a microscopic ethnic minority in the state of Jammu and Kashmir… Our ethos, culture and heritage are sought to be completely destroyed by the terrorists, materially and morally helped by Pakistan…

“This community was reduced to minuscule minority by cultural aggressions in the past and, therefore, in 1947, according to census figures, the population of this community was 15%, in 1981 5%, in 1991 .01% and today a big 99.9% of this community (about 350,000) population has been forced to flee Kashmir. These 350,000 Kashmiri Pandits live in abysmal/appalling conditions, ‘as refugees’, in camps in Jammu and Delhi. This mass exodus of 1990 was followed by sustained terror, rapes, murder, loot and kidnappings….

“As a result of this carefully drawn-our strategy and plan of ethno-religious cleansing of Kashmin Pandits by the armed insurgents, this community is today scattered, devastated and disintegrated. It is living in sub-human conditions in more than 50 refugee camps in different parts of India.”

The abrogation of Articles 370/35A in 2019 by the government of India therefore aimed to create conditions for resettling the displaced Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir, their ancestral homeland, after being ethnically cleansed more than 30 years ago.

Meanwhile, Pakistan remains a major sponsor of global terrorism. The Counter-Extremism Project reports:

“The Pakistani state itself has also used Islamic extremism as a strategic tool to further its interests in the region.

“Several Pakistan-based extremist groups, including Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Harakat-ul-Mujahideen (HuM), and Hizb-il-Mujahideen (HM), conduct attacks on Indian targets in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir, which makes up 45 percent of the overall Kashmir region.

“Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) is a Sunni militant group that was founded in 1990 in Afghanistan’s Kunar province and is currently based near Lahore, Pakistan. LeT seeks to refute Indian sovereignty in Jammu and Kashmir… and to extend Islamic rule to parts of India and to other regions surrounding Pakistan. It is active in Kashmir, Chechnya, and other parts of Central Asia. LeT leader Hafiz Muhammad Saeed has stated that he considers India, Israel, and the United States to be his prime enemies, and has threatened attacks on U.S. interests.”

Many moderate Muslims of Kashmir, nevertheless, strive for deradicalization of the extremist members of their society and peaceful co-existence with Hindus and other non-Muslims.

Yana Mir, editor in chief of The Real Kashmir News and vice president of the All Jammu and Kashmir Youth Society, said:

“The Indian government has been successful to a large extent in stopping Kashmir in becoming yet another Afghanistan where women are suppressed for their rights to marry whoever they choose to and where minorities from religions other than Islam are harassed or shot or lynched. The Indian government has successfully stopped Kashmir from becoming another Pakistan where girls from minority communities are forced to marry older Muslim men or where one sect of Muslims, namely the Sunnis, are free to violently attack other sub-sects of Muslims like the Shia, Hazaras and Ahmadi Muslims.”

Aditya Raj Kaul, a Delhi-based journalist, added:

“[T]here is strong consensus among these Kashmiri Muslim activists that an inclusive, democratic Kashmir will require the eradication of radical ideologies that have infiltrated the valley over the past 30-40 years, as well as the safe return of the Kashmiri Hindus who have been living in exile.”

Jihad is a global threat targeting the entire international community. For the safety and stability of the region and beyond, it is crucial not to let jihad succeed. India’s sovereignty over Kashmir and the international community’s support for hosting international events, as well as tourism in Kashmir, are critical for the global fight against terrorism. It is also beneficial to the residents of Kashmir – particularly women, peaceful Muslims, indigenous Hindus and other non-Muslim minorities.

Those countries that oppose Kashmir as part of India and attempt to dissuade international events such as the G20 conference to promote tourism are hardly advocating the establishment of a secular, pluralistic democracy in Kashmir.

Their goal, rather, is to create an Islamist state in Kashmir where women, religious minorities, and moderate Muslims would be persecuted – just as in anyplace else taken over by Islamic theocracy.

Such a state would also be a center of terrorism and instability in the wider region. The civilized world needs to support India’s sovereignty in Kashmir against foreign interference from oppressive states — such as China, Turkey and Pakistan.
