Bangladesh: After a long struggle, Hindu students set up a temple inside Haji Danesh Science and Engineering College campus

After a continuous struggle for long years, Hindu students succeeded in setting up a temple inside the Haji Danesh Science and Engineering College.

Haji Danesh Science and Engineering College is situated in the Dinajpur district of Bangladesh. For more than 15 years, students of the Hindu minority community were demanding a temple inside the campus.

However, there was a mosque for the Muslim students to offer namaz. But, there were no temples for the Hindu students.

This year, during the Saraswati Puja, some Hindu students tried to build a temple. The Hindu students started to construct the temple. But the college administration, along with some Muslim students, stopped the constitution. They even allegedly vandalised the construction.

But, the Hindu students were determined. A week ago, the Hindu students carried bricks together inside the campus. Yesterday, the Bhoomi Pujan of the temple was completed. The Hindu students were so happy that they raised dharmic slogans inside the campus.
