DMK IT wing head TRB Rajaa has mocked Hindu deities and hurt Hindu sentiments yet again. He shared a video mocking Savarkar in which Bhagwan Vishnu was denigrated. BJP has filed a police complaint against him.
DMK IT wing’s chief and son of Loksabha MP TR Balu is a repeat offender when it comes to hurting Hindu religious sentiments. On September 6, he shared a video on Twitter mocking Veer Savarkar, relating to the Bulbul episode. The video depicted Savarkar flying on a crow, and at one place, he was depicted as kicking at Bhagwan Vishnu flying on Garuda. As it garnered attention and Twitter users started criticising him for his blatantly anti-Hindu post, he deleted the video.
But people had taken the screenshot of the video and shared it widely. BJP and Hindu organisations pulled him up for hurting Hindu religious sentiments and demanded that he should offer an apology immediately. They also called upon TN police to take action against him for tweeting in a manner disturbing communal peace.
During the Republic Day parade in 2022, TRB Rajaa shared an old tableau of Karnataka which had Kamadhenu and mocked it asking “Which freedom fighter is this?”. At that time, the tableaux committee had rejected the one sent by the Tamil Nadu government.
DMK IT wing spread a false theory that it was rejected because the committee members didn’t know who VO Chidambaram Pillai was. But it was speculated that it could have been rejected because it had EV Ramasamy, who did nothing for the Freedom Movement. On the same occasion, he also shared a meme that mocked the tableaux of other states that depicted Rishis, Maharishi Valmiki with Ram Mandir and Bhagwan Anjaneya. The meme said, “These are freedom fighters who chased the White by chanting mantras and doing black magic”.
In another instance, he mocked the people of Uttar Pradesh as “cow piss drinkers”, the exact phrase used by Pulwama terrorist Adil Ahmad Dhar to justify killing Hindus. While answering an innocent question, “What exactly is Dravida School?”, he said that Brahmins deserved the hatred they received from Dravidianists. EV Ramasamy, the father of the Dravidian Movement’s words must be recalled here. He said, “If you spot a Brahmin and a snake together, kill the Brahmin first”.
A police complaint has been filed against TRB Rajaa for his tweet denigrating Bhagwan Vishnu, but it remains to be seen whether TN police will act on it. The department had recently formed a ‘Social Media Monitor Team’ to monitor social media platforms to keep an eye on posts that create “tension, riots” in society. If that is the true intention, TRB Rajaa should be booked and arrested as soon as possible.
