Last week, malicious fake news of a Maulana being lynched by a Hindu mob in Jharkhand’s Koderma region was peddled by well-known Islamists and Muslim “journalists”. They claimed that he was lynched as a punishment for the Maulana’s beating of a woman on the road. The deceased Shahabuddin served as an Imam at Basramo Turkabad in the Barkatha region. The post-mortem report and the police inquiry have now verified that Shahabuddin’s death was caused by a traffic accident, not a mob attack as claimed by the fake news peddlers.
According to an article in The Observer Post, Shahabuddin was ‘beaten to death’ on June 30 by a mob while riding his bike near Ghuthari Kariya back to his residence. According to the report, Shahabuddin was attacked after his motorcycle collided with an automobile in which Anita Devi, her husband, and her brother-in-law were seated.
According to this piece written by Meer Faisal, following the incident that resulted in the woman’s injuries, her husband and brother-in-law collected a group of residents and youths who were playing cricket nearby. These individuals then attacked the Imam using sticks and batons. Social media users quickly began claiming that a Hindu mob lynched Maulana because he was a Muslim.
However, this has been refuted by the Jharkhand Police. They have revealed that the Maulana passed away in a road accident. The police confirmed that the Maulana was taken to the hospital following the collision, but he passed away while reaching the hospital because of his injuries
The police version—that Shahabuddin was hurt in a car accident and wasn’t attacked by a mob—has now been corroborated by the post-mortem report. Hazaribagh DC Nancy Sahay and SP Arvind Kumar Singh disclosed the report’s specifics at a joint news conference on Wednesday.
Fake news peddling Cabal fuels the victimhood mentality of Muslim society
Notably, ISIS had once quoted the habitual fake news peddler Meer Faisal in its magazine earlier. ISIS featured several tweets that Faisal had made in its Voice of Khurasan magazine in July 2023. Meer Faisal has been disseminating false information about purported Hindu attacks on Muslims for a considerable amount of time. He is part of a group of fearmongering fake news peddlers and rabble-rousers who pour kerosene into the ever-burning fire of Muslim victimhood mentality.
Just a few days ago, several Muslim ‘journalists’ and Islamists on social media resorted to peddling fake news and described the death of a scrap worker, Firoz Qureshi, as a case of ‘mob lynching’ over suspicion of theft. Notably, ‘journalists’ like Wasim Akram Tyagi and Zakir Ali Tyagi had published claimed that Firoz Qureshi was beaten to death by Pinky, Pankaj, Rajendra and others. Taking action against five ‘journalists’ passing off Firoz Qureshi’s death as mob lynching, Thana Bhawan Police on July 6 registered an FIR against Wasim Akram Tyagi, Zakir Ali Tyagi, Ahmad Raza Khan, Saif Allahbadi and Asif Rana.
The network of these gangs of charlatans is not only limited to Bharat. Islamist sympathiser CJ Werleman has a notorious history of peddling fake news on social media platforms. In May 2022, he took to Twitter to put out an undated video claiming that a mob of Hindu extremists in the national capital, Delhi, assaulted a Muslim man. However, the reality was that the Muslim man was caught harassing and molesting a 14-year-old child, for which he was taken to task by the locals.
Earlier, this bunch of propagandists had maligned the sacred Jai Shri Ram slogan by using it as a tool to demonise Hindus. Alt News cofounder Mohammed Zubair, another regular fake news peddler, is also a part of this group spewing venom against Hindus. They tarnished the revered chant of Jai Shri Ram several times. It needs to be kept in mind that Muslims have this habit of deceiving, putting out fake news deliberately and portraying themselves as the victims to put Hindus into a defensive mode. This helps them to subsequently launch their attacks against the Hindus once the Hindu society becomes defenceless.
This vicious Hinduphobic group, which has a deep-seated hatred for Hindus, has mastered the art of crafting misleading and phoney tales around every random crime, especially in cases where the victim happens to be from the Muslim community, into a ‘hate crime’ perpetrated by Hindus.
The reality: No voice for Hindu suffering
While the mainstream media pushes these fake stories, the overwhelming majority of cases where Hindus suffer on a day-to-day basis go unreported. For instance, in May 2024, Radheshyam Pathak, a Hindu priest from UP’s Kushinagar, was brutally hacked to death by miscreants over a political debate that turned violent. Several such incidents need to be highlighted by the Hindu leaders in positions of power and influence to counter these fake narratives. But Hindu leaders have unfortunately made it a habit of going on the defensive and appeasing the Islamists and satisfying their demands in the false hope of reconciliation and peace.
