A fresh controversy has erupted in western Uttar Pradesh after Loni BJP MLA Nand Kishore Gurjar alleged that a Hindu youth was lured, converted, and illegally married off to an Islamist divorcee twice his age. The youth’s mother has lodged a complaint against four individuals, including a woman, while police have begun a formal investigation.
As per Jagran, according to the complaint, Ujjwal (18), the only son of Ramesh and Kiran from Rampark Colony, Ghaziabad, was brainwashed and pushed into conversion. The MLA suspects the involvement of a larger network operating in the region and has demanded a thorough probe.
Kiran, Ujjwal’s mother, said her son was working as a computer operator in Hasanpur Mussoorie village, Khekra. While taking computer lessons in Loni, Ujjwal came into contact with Mariam (32), a divorcee from the same locality. Soon after, Ujjwal began disappearing for days, citing work in Gurugram, and would only return home briefly every 10–15 days. His changed behavior raised suspicions, leading the family to dig deeper.
Investigations revealed that Ujjwal had been living on rent with Mariam in NBCC Colony, Hasanpur Mussoorie, after marrying her. When confronted, Mariam’s father, Abid, produced marriage documents before the police and claimed Ujjwal had converted to Islam in Hyderabad, adopting the name Ruhaan. On July 11, Ruhaan allegedly solemnized a Nikah with Mariam in a local mosque.
Kiran, however, maintains that her underage son was manipulated into this relationship and conversion. She has filed a case against Abid, Mariam, and Abid’s two sons, Zuhair and Danish, for coercion, religious conversion, and facilitating an unlawful marriage. Police at Tronica City have registered the case and are probing the matter.
MLA Gurjar, who accompanied the family to the police station, declared that this incident is not an isolated one but part of a bigger religious conversion racket, demanding immediate action from authorities.
This incident highlights a disturbing shift in the modus operandi of radical Islamist networks across Bharat. While earlier cases, such as the recent bust of Maulana Jalaluddin’s conversion syndicate in Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand, predominantly targeted Hindu girls, this fresh case in western Uttar Pradesh shows that even Hindu boys are now being deliberately lured and converted. Across the country, these organized efforts reveal a sinister agenda aimed at manipulating vulnerable Hindu youth through coercion, deception, and illegal marriages. It serves as a stark warning that Hindus must remain vigilant and aware of such radical schemes that threaten the Hindu community and its future.
