Volume of violence-inciting hate speech by Maulana mastermind of Kishan Bharwad murder is just staggering

As details emerge regarding hate speech by Maulana Qamar Gani Usmani, arrested by the Gujarat ATS (Anti-Terrorism Squad) in connection with the murder of Hindu youth Kishan Bharwad for claiming Bhagwan Krishna to be greater than Allah, the staggering volume of violence such indoctrination creates also become clear. The need to keep such elements under check and the threat they pose to any society also comes to the fore.

Violence instigating speeches of Maulana Usmani

Several videos have come to light where the Maulana is seen making open calls of violence. In a video uploaded on January 3 on Facebook, the Maulana says “Our main enemy is the RSS. RSS is so powerful that at first glance it would seem it is foolish to face them. But we (Muslims) have the blessings and courage given by Allah. If we have faith in Allah, we can face even 10 such powers like RSS. They put me in jail for 19 days. They can jail one Qamar Usmani and one Salman Azhari. Because the world will see our love for our religion. The media should record this statement. If one faithful Muslim gives a call for Jihad, all your missiles and all your Armies will be powerless to face the force of Islam”.

Maulana Usmani even claims that keeping mum when ISIS made the world believe that Jihad was a bad thing was an error and that they should have instead clarified that Jihad meant doing justice. Remarking that the death of CDS Bipin Rawat was the work of Allah, the Maulana notes “The day when a real martyr of Islam stands up to inspire Muslims, no forces, no commander can keep Muslims oppressed any longer. They (the Indian government) had appointed one commander for all the three armed forces (CDS Bipin Rawat). See what Allah did to him. All your efforts will fail before the will of Allah” while adding that Muslims should fight and not just pray.

In a second video, the Maulana wants Muslim politicians to give priority to Islam and adds that power and position are of no use if it isn’t utilized for the benefit of Islam. Furthermore, he opines that Muslims shouldn’t fear arrests and lathicharges by the police. “He adds that the cause of Islam does not need followers who are so calculative about their own safety, but it needs fanatics who forget about themselves for the cause”, says OpIndia quoting the Maulana.

He cited the example of the Delhi riots where he had urged people to place Islam above personal safety. “We need people who come to the ground with the mentality of sacrifice. Wapas aye to Ghazi, naa aye toh Shaheed (if we return, we are Ghazi and if we fail to return we are martyrs (of Islam)”, he had said back then.

Yet another time, Maulana Usmani was seen instigating violence was by supporting the ‘sar tan se juda’ sloganeers. He has even justified the brutal murder of Kamlesh Tiwari. “There is a conspiracy to ruin the lives of Muslims. There is an attempt to make India just like Spain. To achieve it, they are testing how much Muslims in India love their Prophet”, he said last February says OpIndia.

The Islamic cleric was also previously taken into custody for his role in inciting violence with respect to Tripura violence resulting from the fake news regarding the desecration of a mosque. Shabbir, who killed Kishan, is reported to have admitted to Usmani’s role in instigating him. He told the police that Usmani had told him that it was his right to kill someone if he believes the person is anti-Islamic.

Maulana Usmani and Dawat-e-Islami

It has also come to light that Usmani is associated with Pakistan-based Dawat-e-Islami that collected money to brainwash Muslim youth. About 2000 donation boxes belonging to the terrorist outfit have been discovered in Ahmedabad alone. The money collected is sent to Pakistan from where it is routed back to Bharat via Dubai using the hawala route in the name of providing Islamic education to Muslims but it is actually used to brainwash them instead. Maulana Usmani, who has reportedly been working towards the goal of converting Bharat into an Islamic nation (Ghazwa-i-Hind), is believed to be running a center of Dawat-e-Islami.

The role of Dawat-i-Islami also came to the fore in an Islamic conversion ring busted in Nuh, Haryana last year. The organization even attempted to hold religious congregations in 2018 and 2019 in Telangana and Karnataka which was vehemently opposed by Muslims themselves. It must be pointed out here that Congress had allotted land to this terrorist outfit but had to drop the plan after opposition to the move.

Congress-led Chhattisgarh government’s plans to allot government land to Pakistan-based Dawat-e-Islami were scuttled after local BJP leaders opposed any such moves. BJP MLA from Chattisgarh’s capital Raipur, Brijmohan Agrawal had stated in a press conference that CM Bhupesh Baghel’s government is preparing to provide 10 hectares (~25 acres) of land to the radical Islamist organization based out of Karachi to build a ‘community building’ in Raipur.
