Muslims disguising themselves as Hindus to trap Hindu girls has become a menace. Using saffron to hide their identity seems to be another trick to dupe Hindus and commit crimes freely. They were from Uttar Pradesh and revealed that many in their village resorted to disguising themselves as sadhus to earn a living. Police found multiple Aadhar cards with different names in their possession.

In October 2022, two Muslim men were arrested after locals suspected them of child theft and their original identity was revealed when they couldn’t recite the Gayatri mantra.
In 2021, Ayodhya police apprehended 2 Muslim men who were dressed as sadhus and begging during Deepavali. They claimed to be from Uttar Pradesh and said that many families from their village were into dressing up in saffron robes and begging.
Harun alias Miyaa Shah Ji Bangali who touted himself to be a Hindu pandit named Rahul Shastri was arrested after complaints were filed against him of duping money.
In another instance, one Ali Khan from Banaras was caught posing as a sadhu in Odisha. He was invited by a Hindu who believed him to be a real sadhu. He was caught by the locals when he couldn’t answer even basic questions about Hindu dharma.
It is clear that Muslims not only mock Hindu beliefs but use them to cheat Hindus as well while secular Hindus are oblivious to the damage it imposes on the Hindu community. As the majority of such imposters are involved in crimes it brings bad repute to Hindus and seers who are in a position to guide the community. It paints a bad image of sadhus among the young generations who are already confused about their religion thanks to ‘secular’ education and the constant demonisation of Hindus. It also gives credence to leftist and abrahamist propaganda to defame Hindus and dharma as a whole entity.
