In another shocking incident, Mohammad Sufiyan pushed 19-year-old (17 as per Zee News) Nidhi from the fourth floor of an apartment. Nidhi’s family has alleged that he was forcing her to embrace Islam. The incident occurred on Tuesday night in Lucknow’s Basant Kunj which falls under the Dubagga police station jurisdiction. Sufiyan is reportedly on the run.
Nidhi Gupta resided in the Duda colony along with her family and was doing a beautician’s course. Sufiyan residing opposite Nidhi’s residence was pursuing her and even pressurizing her to accept Islam. Nidhi informed her family who reached the accused’s house to complain about his behaviour. This led to an argument between the two families. In the meanwhile, Sufiyan reached the roof following Nidhi who had gone to the terrace and pushed her down.
Nidhi’s mother informed the media that the accused was harassing her daughter and was blackmailing her saying he has her video. She further said that the accused wanted to do nikah with Nidhi after converting her but her daughter was against this. Furthermore, she stated that when the Guptas were complaining to Sufiyan’s family he even was about to beat up Nidhi’s mama with a stick.
According to the police’s version, the victim was residing in the Duda colony along with her family. There was a fight between her family and Sufiyan’s family due to some reason. The girl died after she was pushed from the terrace. An FIR has been registered in the matter on the basis of the complaint of the victim’s mother. The police said Sufiyan has disappeared along with his family and his house is also locked. They also confirmed that a search is on to nab the accused.
