Islamist violence reported from 3 states on the occasion of Sri Ram Navami

Islamist violence during Hindu festivals has become a standard feature over the past few years. Following reports of violence, including stone pelting and burning of vehicles, from Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar on the eve of Ram Navami, Islamist violence came to light from Maharashtra, Bengal, and Gujarat.

Islamists orchestrated attacks on Sri Ram Navami Shobha Yatras in Gujarat, West Bengal, and Maharashtra. Police and law enforcement agencies were put on high alert in the three states to ensure no untoward incident occurs after Jumma namaz (Friday prayers). According to Zee News, citizens of sensitive areas of Mumbai and its suburbs like Malvani, Dongri, Mankhurd, and Bhiwandi were asked to remain alert by the Maharashtra government.

Islamists pelted stones on a Ram Navami procession (Shobha yatra) in Vadodara District’s Panjrigar Mohalla of Gujarat on Thursday. “According to the reports, around 200-500 Muslims arrived on the street during the procession and began pelting stones at the procession and the Hindu participants. Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP)’s local office bearer Vishnubhai Prajapati stated that some vehicles including big cars were also damaged”, noted OpIndia. VHP karyakartas confirmed that they were able to save Prabhu Ram’s murti despite the massive attack.

A Ram Navami yatra in Howrah’s Shibpur area was pelted with stones from nearby terraces leading to a clash between Hindus and Muslims. Arson and violence ensued in which vehicles and shops were set on fire.

Islamists pelted stones and torched vehicles outside Kiradpura’s Ram Mandir in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. Reports also say an Islamist mob of about 500 to 600 people attacked Hindus for playing songs during namaz. Clashes were also reported from Jalgaon District as Islamists attacked a Shobha Yatra playing DJ music as it passed by a mosque in the district’s Paldhi. 45 have been arrested and two FIRs have been registered by the police for the violence that started on Tuesday night.

On Tuesday, a Dindi Yatra was on its way to Saptashringi Garh when unidentified miscreants pelted stones at the yatra participants as it passed Paldhi village. The participants were angered by the attack. In the vandalism that followed, three private vehicles were vandalized, a police jeep was torched and three persons were injured.

“Though violence during Hindu Festivals has become a common sadistic reality, this behaviour of the radicals is somehow rooted to their intolerance & of a ritual called ‘Rami-ul-Jamarat’ meaning ‘Stoning the Devil’. Assurances of strict actions against perpetrators have been promised but the victims claim a different picture saying Hindus were instead lathi-charged”, notes Janpeace.

No Hindu festive celebration passes off without Islamist violence marring it. Last week, a mob of 200-250 Islamists attacked a Sheetla Mata Jagran organized at College Street in Central Kolkata. The matter came to light after West Bengal BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari shared a video of this incident on social media to seek immediate action from the police. Earlier this month Hindus preparing for Holi were attacked but Meerut police termed it a ‘drunken brawl’.

This January, the immersion procession which marks the conclusion of the Saraswati Puja festival was attacked/marred with violence in various regions of Bihar like Gopalganj, Patna, Saharsa, Samastipur and Nalanda. As with past years, the auspicious Hindu festival was attacked in Jharkhand too. At least two youths – Ankit Kumar and Dheeraj Kumar – have been killed and several others, including policemen, injured in different violent incidents across the two states, with most related to Saraswati Puja processions.

Not only in Bharat but such instances of Islamist violence have been reported in Nepal and Islamist Pakistan and Bangladesh too. In October last year, an Islamist mob reportedly attacked a Hindu procession after a dispute regarding flag hoisting. Several people including police were injured in the violence.

Islamists pelted stones on a Durga Puja visarjan procession in UP’s Sultanpur injuring 20 people last October and on a Ganesh murti procession in Gujarat last September. Ram Navami processions came under attack across Bharat last year as well. The list of Islamist violence on Hindu festive occasions is endless and the blind support they draw from the Hinduphobic cabal including Abrahamo-Leftists, a section of the judiciary, and ‘secular politicians’ only emboldens them further.

The liberal-secular-Islamist cabal has attacked our festivals and transformed them into days when Hindus are restricted in the name of ‘security and maintaining communal harmony’. The situation has turned so bad that anything and everything associated with the Hindu community has become intolerable to the Hinduphobes within so-called ‘minority’ communities and their liberal-secular counterparts. They try everything, constitutional or unconstitutional, to kill the festive vibes of the Hindu community in any part of the country.
