“In another major action against illegal communal encroachment in the national capital, Delhi government authorities have sealed an unauthorised madrassa built over plots meant for jhuggi dwellers in Bawana.

The case concerns plots bearing numbers E-707, E-708 and adjoining plots in E Block, SRS Bawana, Delhi, which were meant for housing purposes for displaced/slum-dwelling families.

Instead, according to an internal probe by the Delhi government on a complaint pursued by anti-encroachment activist Preet Singh Sirohi), the plots were taken over and converted into a madrassa…….”
