A Hindu shopkeeper and his mother attacked by Islamists: Meerut

In a shocking incident in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, a Hindu shopkeeper named Ashish and his mother were reportedly subjected to a near-lynching by individuals identified as Mohd Parvez, Mohammad Danish, Mohammad Dilshad, and Mohammad Sameer. The altercation ensued after the shopkeeper requested payment from the accused for the food they had purchased.

The confrontation took a violent turn as the group allegedly attacked Ashish and his mother, posing a severe threat to their lives. The attackers have been identified as Islamists, and the incident has sparked concerns about communal tensions in the region.

Police swiftly intervened, leading to the arrest of all four individuals involved in the assault. The legal proceedings are expected to follow, and the authorities are likely to investigate the motive behind the attack.

The incident raises questions about the safety and security of shopkeepers and individuals belonging to Hindu communities. It highlights the need for vigilant law enforcement and community harmony to prevent such acts of violence and maintain peace in the region. Local authorities are urged to conduct a thorough investigation to uncover the underlying factors related to this incident.
