In Madhya Pradesh’s (MP) Indore, Mohammad Faizan was apprehended by members of a Hindu organization. He is accused of engaging in physical relations with a Hindu woman under the false pretence of marriage and later pressuring her for religious conversion. When the victim refused to accept Islam, the accused assaulted her.
The accused was caught by the angry members of the Hindu organisation and handed over to the Gandhinagar police station. An FIR has been filed against him under sections related to rape, assault, and threatening the woman.
According to Inspector Anil Yadav, the accused originally from Azamgarh (UP), works as a team leader at Teleperformance Company. He helped a 37-year-old woman from the area get a job in Jaipur and later in Gurugram and Noida. Their relationship grew as he was her team leader, and they eventually had a physical relationship.
The incident took place in the Khajrana police station area of Indore. The victim stated that she had met Mohammad Faizan Khan four years ago during coaching classes. Their acquaintance grew, and he persuaded her to change her residence. While she was living alone, he lured her into a physical relationship under the guise of marriage.
The victim further alleged that the accused took her to Khajrana, where he gave her intoxicants, raped her, and recorded photos and videos, which he later used to blackmail her. Despite this, she agreed to marry Faizan. However, their relationship deteriorated after Faizan started behaving inappropriately.
The woman claimed that Faizan then began pressuring her to convert to Islam. When she refused, she was beaten. Faizan also threatened to harm her family if she did not accept Islam. The victim confided in members of the Hindu organization and arranged for Faizan to be caught during a meeting on Tuesday.
