Idea of Europe is Dead
The Brussels airport attack by jihadists again brings to life the challenge faced by Europe as we know it. Europe of Mozart and Goethe and Schopenhauer and Sartre and Beethoven is dead. The cultured European having his wine and enjoying concerts and Opera is passé.
PILs by Foreign Funded NGOs: Whose Interest is it Anyway?
In the historic judgment in the Judges’ Transfer case, the seven judge Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court held that any member of the public even if not directly involved but having ‘sufficient interest’ can approach the High Court under article 226, or in case of breach of fundamental rights the Supreme Court, to redress grievances of persons who cannot move the court because of ‘poverty, helplessness, or disability or socially or economically disadvantaged position’. The Court can be approached even through a letter in such a case (SP Gupta v/s President of India, AIR 1982 SC 149). After this judgment, it has been open to public minded individual citizens or social organizations (NGOs) to seek judicial relief in the interest of the general public.
RSS Workers And Children Attacked in UP
There has been a spurt in attacks on Hindu activists associated with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in the last few months. After the series of attacks on RSS workers in Kerala, Karnataka and firing on an RSS office in Ludhiana, Punjab, news has come in of 2 attacks over the weekend on RSS workers in West UP.
The first attack took place near Allahabad, UP. As this news report –
“Police have registered a case against 12 people for attacking a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) activist, following a dispute over a ‘shakha’ (daily gathering) being run at a primary school in Baka Jalapur village, near Allahabad, UP.
Members of the Muslim and Hindu communities clashed soon after the attack, which occurred on Saturday evening. A large number of police personnel were deployed in the area to prevent any untoward incidents.
The police report stated that Sandeep Kumar, a resident of Bhiknapur Alawalpur village in Mauaima, had an altercation with one Afsaar Ali over the former running an RSS shakha at the Ghoorghat primary school in the village. Kumar was attacked by Ali and a few of his friends at the primary school on Saturday, and shot at upon trying to flee the scene. However, the RSS activist managed to enter a village, where the villagers came out to support him.
Upon being informed about the communal tension in the area, superintendent of police (Trans-Yamuna) Rajesh Srivastava rushed to the village with a large number of security personnel. A case was registered against Ali and his accomplices after Kumar filed a complaint.
The accused – for their part – have claimed that it was Kumar and his supporters who attacked them, although they were yet to approach the police in this regard. Mauaima circle officer Lal Pratap Singh said that a case has been registered against the accused, and raids were on to nab them.”

Hindu View of Christian Salvation
Christian conversion is based upon the promise of forgiveness of all sins and everlasting salvation by belief in Jesus. It is important that Hindus and all others subject to conversion efforts understand the wrong ideas and wishful thinking behind these views.
Media Starts Cover Up In Pankaj Narang Lynching
The shocking incident which occurred on the night of Holi, where 40 year old dentist Dr. Pankaj Narang was beaten to death by a mob led by Nasir Khan (22), his mother Mesar, and brother Amir Khan (21), is being spun as ‘Road Rage’ or ‘Class War’ by influential sections of our national media. It appears that the motive of a crime is not defined by what motivates the criminal, it is defined by what motivates senior journalists. Rather than just stick to reporting the facts, elite journalists and opinion-makers have taken it upon themselves to interpret the events leading to Dr. Narang’s murder – their judgement is clear: this was just a regular crime which should not get undue attention, unlike the murder of Mohammed Akhlaq in Dadri, or the suicide of Rohith Vemula.
Congress Wants Muslim IAS To Preside Over Temple Festivities
Not content with controlling 50,000 Hindu temples in Karnataka which come under the Muzrai or the Religious Affairs Department, the Congress Government in Karnataka now also wants that non-Hindu Government officers should be allowed to preside over temple festivities. The day is not far when Congress will demand that temple festivities be ‘adapted’ so as not to upset the religious beliefs of such presiding non-Hindu officers.
