Nikhil Chandwani: The Man Building a Rescue Network for Pakistan’s Forgotten Hindus

In an age when outrage is often measured by posts and hashtags, Shri. Nikhil Chandwani has built his reputation on something far harder to sustain: action. Through his relentless actions, he has emerged as an industrialist, author, and activist whose work is centered on rescuing and rehabilitating persecuted Hindu and Sikh families, especially from Pakistan’s Sindh region.

What makes his story extraordinary is not only the scale of his work but the consistency of the mission. He presents himself not as an NGO figure or a politician, but as someone who funds and coordinates rescue efforts directly, often through a quiet network of trusted people on the ground. In the media coverage and on his own platform, the emphasis is repeatedly placed on families escaping forced conversion, sexual violence, displacement, and long-term insecurity.

The rescue mission

The most detailed account comes from the Hans India feature, which describes Chandwani’s work as beginning with a desperate plea from a Hindu family in Sindh, Pakistan. He arranged shelter, covered passport and travel costs, and helped the family legally cross borders to safety. It is seen that his work as part of a broader rescue network that has operated since 2017, funded largely through his own business.

His website, SindhiHindu.com, describes the initiative works on the ground to rescue persecuted Hindu minorities from Pakistan and Bangladesh, handling passports, visas, travel, legal documentation, and relocation for families facing immediate threats. He has also supported thousands of rescued families, including children in a Jaisalmer camp, widows, and survivors of violence.

Public profile and reach

Chandwani’s public presence is built strongly through social media, especially Instagram X (erstwhile Twitter). He was awarded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a “Pathbreaker of 2025”. Additional he is also reportedly the “world’s most-read long-form writer on Instagram,”.

These online profiles matter because they help explain how his cause gained reach. The public-facing story is not only about rescue operations, but also about narrative building: turning individual cases into a larger civilizational argument about persecution, survival, and responsibility. This makes him a rare figure who combines activism, entrepreneurship, and cultural advocacy.

Sindhi Hindu cause

The website SindhiHindu.com is the clearest statement of the movement’s own identity. His work is that of rescue and rehabilitation of persecuted Hindu minorities from Pakistan and Bangladesh, with an explicit emphasis on confidentiality, dignity, and long-term rehabilitation. His effort includes education and food support for children, monthly assistance for families, and temple and community rebuilding work in Bangladesh.

This shows that Chandwani’s public cause is not limited to emergency extraction. It also includes rebuilding lives after rescue through schooling, food, medical support, and cultural continuity. In that sense, his project is both humanitarian and civilizational: it aims to save individuals while also preserving identity and community memory.

What stands out

Several themes define Shri. Chandwani. First is the emphasis on self-funding, notably, his business finances much of the work. Second is the use of direct, emotional storytelling, often centered on women, girls, and families facing conversion threats or abuse. Third is the insistence that this is a long-term movement, not a one-off intervention.

There is also a clear ideological edge to the messaging. He repeatedly highlights the issues of persecution, rescue, and cultural survival, and frames the work as an answer to what he describes as the silence of governments and institutions. This appeals strongly to people already aligned with the cause of Hindu civilizational defence and survival.
