HinduACTion applauds President Trump’s strong stance against attacks on Hindus and minority communities in Bangladesh and affirms his commitment to protect American Hindus

HinduACTion, a leading American Hindu advocacy organization in the United States, expresses profound gratitude to President Donald Trump for his powerful condemnation of recent attacks on Hindu and Christian communities in Bangladesh. In a compelling statement on social media, President Trump denounced the escalating violence against minority groups, pledging that such atrocities would never occur “on his watch.”

The President’s message comes as the Hindu community in Bangladesh faces relentless assaults by extremist factions, threatening their safety, rights, and cultural heritage. In his message, President Trump also extended warm Diwali wishes, emphasizing the need for the “Victory of Good over Evil” in these trying times.

Statement by President Trump

Utsav Chakrabarti, Executive Director of HinduACTion, voiced his appreciation for the President’s unequivocal support for Hindus worldwide.

“Donald Trump’s statement reflects an honest acknowledgment of the socio-political aggression faced by Hindus in the U.S. and the geopolitical challenges faced by Hindus worldwide, which have often stemmed from our nation’s policies in the past couple of years,” Chakrabarti said. “The next White House administration must address these issues thoughtfully, crafting informed policy solutions. This Diwali message represents a vital step toward the necessary course correction for our nation. India must pay attention.”

Statement by HinduACTion

President Trump’s call for a renewed “Peace through Strength” strategy resonates deeply with HinduACTion and the Hindu community, who see a path forward for American foreign policy that actively upholds religious freedom and human rights.

Adelle Nazarian, Director of Communications and Legislative Outreach to HinduACTion, highlighted the broader implications of President Trump’s statement, emphasizing the gravity of the situation in Bangladesh and its impact on international relations.

“The world is increasingly aware of the hidden forces that contributed to the ousting of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,” Nazarian said. “Now, we bear witness to unspeakable violence against Bangladesh’s Hindu, Christian, and minority communities at the hands of extremist groups like Jamaat-e-Islami—groups that stand in stark contrast to the ethics and values of the Bangladeshi Muslim-majority population. We call on the global community to uphold justice and prevent these tragedies from continuing in silence.”

In his remarks, President Trump also underscored his commitment to Hindu Americans and reiterated his dedication to protecting religious freedom and traditional values from what he termed “the anti-religion agenda of the radical left.” He further pledged to strengthen the U.S.-India alliance, calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi his “good friend,” and assuring Hindus across the globe that their voices would be prioritized under his leadership.

As HinduACTion joins Hindu communities worldwide in celebrating Diwali, we stand united in our appreciation for President Trump’s support for Hindu Americans and his dedication to building a future where all faith communities can practice their beliefs freely and peacefully.
