“What began as an argument over the harvesting of rice ended in bloodshed on a village road in Joypurhat, where 50-year-old daily wage laborer was beaten to death in broad daylight, leaving local Hindus reeling in shock and grief.
The victim, Shyamal Chandra Mali, a resident of Kashira Shilpara village in Akkelpur Upazila, was on his way to the local market on Saturday afternoon when he encountered Hasan Ali, with whom he had an ongoing dispute over the cutting of paddy from a piece of farmland.
According to police and local witnesses, a heated exchange erupted between the two men. Moments later, the confrontation turned deadly…….”
