BNP and other frontal organisations are running ‘India out’ campaign in Bangladesh

After the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, anti-Bharat sentiments have risen to a new level in Bangladesh. Islamist elements, as well as opposition parties, are continuously campaigning against Bharat. They are campaigning with a call to boycott Bharatiya products. Some are also trying to portray Bharat as an enemy country.

‘Gana Adhikar Parishad’- a frontal organisation backed by the political party BNP(Bangladesh Nationalist Party), recently held a rally in Dhaka. Titled ‘India out’, the rally called for a boycott of Bharatiya products.

Also, Islamist elements are on the same page. Islamists are rigorously campaigning on different social media platforms. They are calling to boycott Bharatiya products in Bangladesh. Islamists have been trying to incite ordinary citizens of Bangladesh, citing that Bharat, under the leadership of Narendra Modi, built the Ram Mandir by demolishing the Babri mosque.

However, Bharat mainly imports clothes and toys and fishes. On the other hand, Bangladesh imports large amounts of products from Bharat. So, in this boycott campaign, Bharat will not be affected, think experts.

Some political analysts said that opposition parties are trying to portray a negative picture of the current Bangladeshi government by fuelling anti-Bharat sentiments among the common public. But they will not be successful because Bangladesh is dependent on the products imported from Bharat.
