Hinduphobic ‘Journo’ Dnyanesh Maharao insults Prabhu Ram at Sambhaji Brigade Convention in the presence of Sharad Pawar & MP Shahu Chhatrapati

‘Journalist’ Dnyanesh Maharao used the Sambhaji Brigade Convention to spew venom against Hindu Dharma. He insulted Prabhu Sri Ram, Warkari Sampraday, and Swami Samarth. During this time his boss Sharad Pawar and Member of Parliament (MP) Shahu Chhatrapati were present on stage listening to Maharao’s anti-Hindu diatribe. The event occurred in August end.

Pawar minion Dnyanesh Maharao insults Prabhu Sri Ram

“If someone throws my sister out of his house when she is pregnant will I keep quiet? He listens to a washerman and abandons his pregnant wife. We consider such a man as God. We should be ashamed of ourselves,” Maharao speaks derogatorily of Prabhu Sri Ram. He further derogates Sri Ram by citing a drama titled Bhumikanya Sita by Mama Varerkar.

“When Ram returns from the forest, Laxman’s wife Urmila asks him -you consider yourself a great man, a God. Your brother and wife accompanied you. Your wife stayed in Lanka for a year and you suspected her chastity. Did you ask your brother how his wife stayed in the palace for fourteen years? If you have to take my agnipariksha to know your family’s character,” he says. This implies that Raghuvanshis were ‘characterless.’

His Hinduphobic rant doesn’t end there. “You people pray to that Swami, who was he? That fellow who roams around half-naked. Will we be fine with our husband or son walking around the home like that? But people believe that good things happen due to Swamiji’s blessings,” he speaks insultingly of Swami Samarth. Furthermore, he glorifies Sharad Pawar by quoting his political career of several decades where he ‘introduced numerous welfare schemes’ for the ‘benefit’ of the common people. He then denigrates actress Nivedita Saraf for her faith in Swami Samarth.

“Gopal Bhadve peed in the tirthkund. Loksatta ran the news and his act was caught on CCTV. A few months later the number of Warkaris visiting the tirthkund on Ashadhi Ekadashi increased from 8 lakhs to 11 lakhs. See the magic of his urine that the number of Warkaris increased by 3 lakhs,” Maharao says.

His entire speech consists of such Hinduphobic views that should boil the blood of any Hindu. However, Sharad Pawar, Shahu Chhatrapati and others seated on stage were completely silent and thereby consenting to Maharao’s Hinduphobic speech. Would Maharao dare to speak derogatorily of any other religion and would such a speech be tolerated by those who were silent on his Hinduphobic diatribe? The event was attended by several politicians and Marathi film industry artists.

Prabhu Sri Ram, Swami Samarth, and Warkari Panth are important for Maharashtrian Hindus. Maharao is spreading falsehoods about Mata Sita’s Agnipariksha. The coterie has no respect for Hindu Saints and loses no opportunity to insult them. However, Maharao is only following in the footsteps of his boss Sharad Pawar who demeaned Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s Guru Swami Samarth Ramdas. Pawar, who was completely silent on Maharao’s Hinduphobic diatribe, visited Lalbaugcha Raja Ganpati Pandal only to gather Hindu votes in the upcoming Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha elections.

Pandharpur Wari and Ashadhi Ekadashi have great significance for Hindus. Speaking insultingly of an important Hindu tradition that holds great significance for Maharashtra, cannot and should not be tolerated at any cost. What can be a bigger travesty than the fact that all of this occurred against the backdrop of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj who has a legacy of protecting and dying for Hindu Dharma? It is expected that the Hindutvawadi Mahayuti Maharashtra Government would ensure that Maharao isn’t let off the hook.

Hinduphobic politics in Maharashtra

Hinduphobia is deeply rooted in Maharashtra’s politics. Maharashtra Congress leader Nana Patole displayed his Hinduphobic side by using the anecdote of Ravana wearing ‘saffron robes’ to abduct Maa Sita in his attempt to target UP CM Yogi Adityanath.

‘Hindutvawadi’ Uddhav Thackeray used the ‘Gautmutra’ jibe multiple times. In May 2023, enraged by the action taken by the BJP government in the Trimbakeshwar temple incident, Shiv Sena (UBT) led by Uddhav Thackeray hit out at the BJP government, accusing it of practising a version of Hindutva that the party has referred to as ‘Gaumutradhari Hindutva.’

In March 2023, Thackeray displayed his Hindudvesh (Hinduphobia) by using the ‘gaumutra’ jibe in the guise of targeting BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) while speaking at the Golibar Maidan in Ratnagiri’s Khed.

In October 2020, while speaking at the annual Shiv Sena Dusshera Mela, Uddhav Thackeray alleged that BJP’s Hindutva is confined only to Gaumutra and Cow Dung. He further went on to say that BJP spews the same gaumutra and cow dung on others. Attacking further, he said, “It is you and your clothes who reek smell of Gaumutra and Dung. What am I supposed to do?”.

NCP leader Jitendra Awhad is known for his Hinduphobic verbal diarrhoea. Last April, Awhad remarked that Ram Navami and Hanuman Janmotsav are meant to ‘spark riots.’

In 2022, Supriya Sule shared a video of NCP supremo Pawar where he says Swami Ramdas was never the Guru of Chhatrapati and only Rajmata Jijau was. While there is no dispute that Rajmata Jijau was his first teacher as is the case with most children, Swami Ramdas was his Guru – a fact that ‘liberals’ have always been denying in keeping with their agenda to present a ‘secularized’ version of Shivray.

These are only some of the Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA) leaders’ Hinduphobic comments. That Pawar and his coterie would be approvingly silent about Dnyanesh Maharao’s Hindudveshi remarks is a foregone conclusion. However, Mahayuti Sarkar should step in and ensure strict action so that such language isn’t spoken in the land of Chhatrapatis who established Hindavi Swaraj for Dev (Bhagwan), Dharma (Hindutva), and Desh (Nation).

  1. Uttar Ramayana is fictional and this drama is not even satirical but imaginary.

Same old wine in new bottle, drinking it in front of silent audience.
I wonder what Sharad Pawar did after that ?
    Clapped ?

    Stupid stage !
