The ‘student’ protests at Jamia Millia Islamia and Aligarh Muslim University over the CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) are now showing their true face.

A large mob in the Muslim-dominated Seelampur area of East Delhi today resorted to brazen violence, chasing & attacking police, suddenly pelting stones at innocent bus commuters including a school bus, all the while chanting religious slogans “Nare-takbir (standard Islamic war cry)…Allah-o-Akbar (Allah is the greatest).”

A 2000-strong mob attacked a police post in Seelampur, set police vehicles on fire and injured atleast a dozen policemen. This comes after a police station was set on fire yesterday in UP’s Mau by anti-CAA protestors expressing ‘solidarity’ with protesting students of AMU and Jamia.

It is being reported by certain news outlets, based on eyewitness testimony, that the stone pelting commenced after the arrival of local MLA Haji Ishraq of the Aam Aadmi Party.

Incidentally, MLA Haji Ishraq was accused last year of communal behavior by local Hindus over a dispute involving a mosque being illegally constructed in a residential area called Brahmpuri. Many Hindus were contemplating leaving the area because of systemic harassment by those supporting construction of the mosque.

But, befitting the doublespeak (doctrine of taquiya) that comes so naturally to the Islamist, MLA Haji Ishraq is now claiming that the violence was instigated by a former MLA, while he (Haji Ishraq) is appealing to protestors to return home.

Seelampur constituency also has the dubious distinction of witnessing another silent Hindu exodus from an area called Sundar Nagri. The template used to harass Hindus and force them to leave is eerily similar to what was witnessed in Kairana, UP.

Hence it is not surprising that radicalised elements in Seelampur have resorted to the sort of violence that was seen today. It is now clear that the anti-CAA protests are just a mask for the real agenda – continuing the Islamist veto over ‘secular’ Bharat and normalising illegal Muslim immigration to permanently alter the demographic make-up of Bharat.
