The assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump on Saturday sent shockwaves throughout the world. Shots were fired during Trump’s election rally in Pennsylvania. As the shots rang out, the former US President grabbed his right ear with his right hand, then brought his hand down to look at it before dropping to his knees behind the podium before the Secret Service agents covered him.
Images of Donald trump raising a defiant fist as he was hurriedly escorted away by Secret Service agents splashed across the media even as he was left with a bloodied face while a bystander was killed and two other people left wounded.
As per media reports, Trump was attacked by 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks who was shot dead at the scene by a US Secret Service Sniper. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is now trying to establish the motive behind the shooting.
The shocking incident involving an assassination attempt on the former US President has further consolidated Trump’s voter base with many fence sitters now pledging to vote for the Republicans after “witnessing” the horrors that Donald Trump was willing to put up with, for the sake of America, if one were to go by the emotional outpourings of Americans through social media platforms like X.
Following the shooting incident. Tech billionaire Elon Musk said that he fully endorses Donald Trump. He also reportedly said that the last time America had a Presidential candidate this tough was Theodore Roosevelt.
The assassination attempt on Donald Trump also raises questions on the credibility of American democracy. The US lectures the whole world on democracy and human rights. It’s the self-anointed guardian and morality police of human rights, religious freedom, and democracy worldwide. But with this incident, the US seems to have lost its moral high ground. It’s an extremely embarrassing moment for the world’s most powerful country; even as world leaders comment on the unfortunate incident and extend their wishes for the speedy recovery of Donald Trump, what also stands to scrutiny is the ability of the US to keep democracy thriving and alive.
The Democrats have been running a vicious campaign against Trump ever since he ran for the US Presidential elections for the first time. The smear campaign intensified when he was elected the President in 2017; he has been branded a fascist and a danger to the US democracy. Trump has also been generously compared to Hitler, pretty much along similar lines that the Bharatiya Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been repeatedly labeled a fascist by the opposition and compared to Hitler.
There are huge parallels between the global deep state’s demonization of Donald Trump, and PM Modi. Both have been branded as “right-wing dictators”, stifling freedom of speech and expression. Donald Trump is portrayed as cracking down on the rights of “non-white migrants” of the US and Modi is portrayed as a fascist dictator cracking down on the rights of Bharat’s religious minorities of Muslims and Christians.
If you look at the Western media reports, there is a similar pattern and tone reserved for the vilification of both Donald Trump and PM Modi, one could argue that the pattern is generously used to vilify all global leaders whom the deep leftist state views as a threat to its dream of getting the whole world together under one huge global leftist oligarchic umbrella.
Thus, ironically enough, politicians like Modi and Trump who are in fact desisting the politics of the global leftist deep state in their respective countries and thus paving the way for the protection of democracy by removing undue interference in their internal matters, are projected as destroyers of democracy.
Following the attack on Trump, the 2020 US Presidential candidate, and former US Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard wrote an X post criticizing the constant demonization of Donald Trump by “those in power”.
“Those who are in power determined to stop Trump have tried to convince us for years through their propaganda media that Trump is another Hitler, and like Hitler he will completely take away our democracy. This assassination attempt is a consequence of this “demonization” of Trump by propaganda media and Deep State. While they may not be directly behind this particular assassination attempt, they are responsible for it”, she wrote.

Following the assassination attempt on Donald Trump, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Bharat has also pointed out the dangerous patterns involving constant demonization of PM Modi by leaders of the opposition like Rahul Gandhi.
Ever since PM Modi first came to power in 2014, the opposition along with the woke leftists have been running a vicious campaign denouncing him as a “fascist dictator”, an “extreme right-wing leader”, etc., without any evidence whatsoever. The 2002 Godhra riots were long used to vilify PM Modi, especially during the first term of Modi government. He was branded a “murderer of minorities” and such epithets were hurled at him in leftist circles that it’s beyond shocking.
It took the final verdict of the courts in the Godhra riots to put a stop to the anti-Modi propaganda mills. However, PM Modi continues to be labeled by the global media as a “Hindutva fascist”, even though the propaganda might seem to have toned down a little.
With his “save the constitution” pitch, the Leader of the Opposition and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has ramped up the anti-Modi propaganda pitch yet again. He is spreading rampant disinformation across the country, addressing vulnerable groups – students, farmers, SCs/STs’, etc. insinuating that Modi is taking away their rights, that Modi is directly responsible for their unemployment woes, etc.
Propaganda thrives on irrationality and communists seem to have mastered that art. That fact that the common people of Bharat know little about the Constitution or how laws are made, makes it a cakewalk for the likes of Rahul Gandhi to peddle white lies and demonize PM Modi.
Moreover, the anti-Modi vicious propaganda peddled by the likes of Rahul Gandhi has to be seen in the context of the global deep state’s propaganda machinery against non-left-wing leaders involving masterminds like George Soros, as Bharat has pointed out in the past.
Following the assassination attempt on Donald Trump, the BJP also raised the issue of PM Modi’s safety in the context of his vicious demonization by political leaders like Rahul Gandhi.
“Indian democracy survived the global Lefts assault and Prime Minister Modi is back for a third term…
Incidentally, ‘Democracy is in Danger’ is the theme in the US Presidential Election too, just like ‘Samvidhaan ko Bachana hai’ was opposition’s pitch here in India… Caste, like race in America, was weaponized to drive a wedge in Indian society. Demonising opponents and calling them dictator is also not a coincidence. In fact, the global money bag, with dangerous ideas, used the term for the first time, to describe democratically elected powerful world leaders, who he couldn’t control”. (Amit Malviya, BJP IT Cell National Convener).

BJP National Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla also wrote an X post, drawing parallels between Donald Trump’s demonization and the vicious chain of anti-Modi propaganda in the Bharatiya context.
“The assassination attempt on Former US President Donald Trump only shows the dangerous & direct effects of a poisonous rhetoric directed at him continually by so called left liberals – who label him threat to democracy. By dehumanizing Trump – you legitimize such attacks.
Similar dehumanizing attacks are taking place in India too where some label PM Modi as “threat to democracy” and “non-biological” PM. Such attacks, from head of Congress communication dept, legitimize and mainstream violence and hatred.
We have seen senior Congress party leaders even justify violence against PM Modi saying “ Kabr khudegi Modi ki”, “Modi Hitler hai”, “ Mar ja Modi”, etc. Slipper thrown at PM Modi’s Car in Varanasi was also justified!
Today’s violence should make our fake liberals back home to stop this extremist language they use. They must accept that PM Modi has been elected for the third time by People of India”. (Shehzad Poonawalla, X).

On October 27, 2013, as PM Modi stood on stage at the “Hunkar rally”, campaigning in Patna’s Gandhi Maidan, bombs exploded. Six people were killed in the explosion and nine terrorists were convicted for the attacks in 2021, with four receiving death sentences.
Investigations into the bomb blasts revealed that the terrorists initially planned to assassinate PM Modi with a suicide bomber but instead opted for bomb explosions to cause a stampede and thus get a chance to target PM Modi in the chaos.
Yet another security breach of PM Modi happened in Punjab in February 2022 when PM Modi was going to attend a rally in Punjab’s Ferozepur, a group of farmers blocked his way and the PM’s convoy was stopped for around 20 minutes. This forced the PM to go back without addressing a rally in Ferozepur.
