The World Hindu Congress (WHC) is one of the largest global gatherings of Hindu leaders, thinkers, entrepreneurs, policymakers, educators, media professionals, and social activists. WHC 2026 will be held in Mumbai from 18 to 20 December 2026. The three-day event will take place at the Jio World Convention Centre and is expected to attract thousands of delegates from across the world.
The upcoming edition of the Congress carries special significance as it coincides with the centenary year of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), marking its Shatabdi Varsh. The theme of WHC 2026 is “Samānaṃ Vrataṃ Saha Cittam” — Shared Commitment: Collective Resolve, emphasizing unity of purpose and collective action among Hindus worldwide.
Industrialist Shri Ajay Piramal, Chairman of the Piramal Group, has been appointed Chairperson of WHC 2026. He will be supported by Co-Chairpersons Shri Vishad Mafatlal and Shri Mahesh Bhagchandka.
The World Hindu Congress has emerged as a premier international platform for the Hindu community, fostering dialogue, collaboration, and action across multiple sectors. The 2026 edition will feature seven parallel conferences: the World Hindu Economic Forum, Hindu Education Conference, Hindu Media Conference, Hindu Political Conference, Hindu Women Conference, Hindu Youth Conference, and Hindu Organisational Conference. Together, these forums will address issues ranging from economic development and education to media representation, political participation, youth leadership, and organisational capacity-building.
In their press meet announcing the event, organisers stated that the Congress aims to promote Hindu resurgence, inclusive progress, and collective action rooted in dharmic values. The event is expected to provide a platform for networking, idea exchange, and strategic collaboration among leaders and institutions committed to advancing Hindu interests and strengthening Hindu society globally.
The World Hindu Congress has steadily expanded its international footprint since its inception. The inaugural Congress was held in New Delhi in 2014, followed by Chicago in 2018 and Bangkok in 2023. Collectively, these events have drawn more than 6,500 participants from over 60 countries. The platform has hosted several distinguished personalities, including spiritual leaders, policymakers, economists, academics, entrepreneurs, and cultural figures.
Speaking about the forthcoming gathering, Swami Vigyananand, the ideator of the World Hindu Congress, highlighted the growing global visibility and acceptance of Hindu communities. He emphasized that while Hindus have made significant progress over the past century, there remains a need to accelerate the realization of global Hindu aspirations and address emerging challenges through unity and collective resolve.
“The centenary year of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh offers an important opportunity for Hindus worldwide to reaffirm their commitment to the civilisational values that have sustained Hindu society through millennia,” he noted.

Expressing optimism about the upcoming event, he said the World Hindu Congress would channel the entrepreneurial, intellectual, and social energies of Hindus worldwide toward building a more prosperous, just, and dharmic world.
According to organisers, WHC 2026 is expected to host more than 4,500 participants from over 60 countries, reflecting the growing influence and global reach of the movement. Particular focus will be placed on areas of strategic importance to the Hindu community, encouraging meaningful partnerships and action-oriented discussions.
