Neo-Buddhists call for Taliban-style breaking of Hindu murtis under the garb of Baudh Katha, 5 Hindus arrested for protesting: UP

Neo-Buddhists are as rabidly anti-Hindu as their Talibani and Khalistani counterparts. The Baudh Katha event was held in Uttar Pradesh’s (UP) Kanpur. The neo-Buddhists resorted to abusing Hindu deities that led to clashes with Hindus.

Neo-Buddhists abuse Hindu deities

In the volatile clash between two communities in Kanpur’s Pahewa village, a confrontation ensued over derogatory remarks targeting Hindu deities and Brahmin priests during a ‘Buddha Katha’ event. This resulted in the arrest of five Hindu men under the SC-ST Act, heightening tensions between the communities. Those booked include Chandra Bhan Mishra, Golu Mishra, Shivam Mishra, Jeetu Mishra, Arun Kotedar, Kinnar Mishra, Vishambhar Mishra, and Manish Tewari.

According to available information, a Neo-Buddhist group organized the ‘Buddha Katha’ event in the village, in which Hindu deities were abused. When Hindus objected, claiming that the organizers had disparaged Hindu Devis/Devatas and their community during the event. A letter was submitted to the police, urging action against the organizers.

Upon investigation, videos of the event show inflammatory statements made by the event’s organizers. Archana Bauddh, one of the speakers, was observed using derogatory language against revered Hindu figures such as Bhagwan Shri Ram and Durga Mata. Vipul Bauddh was also recorded encouraging Hindus to discard murtis and denouncing vigraha puja as sinful.

Initially dismissing claims of anti-Hindu activity, the police revised their stance as incriminating videos surfaced on social media. Despite the provocative content, no immediate arrests were made, causing dissatisfaction among those offended by the derogatory remarks.

NeoPolitico report says that the situation remains tense, with both communities in disagreement over insults to their religious beliefs. The incident has ignited discussions on freedom of expression, religious tolerance, and the boundaries of discourse within communities. This has prompted a deeper examination of cultural sensitivities and legal consequences for contentious speech.

Authorities reassure the public that a comprehensive investigation is underway to address the allegations and maintain communal harmony. They emphasize the need for a fair and just resolution that respects the religious sentiments of all parties involved in this polarizing incident.

Neo-Buddhism is naked Hindu hatred

Neo-Buddhism is based on Ambedkar’s 22 vows that are all about disowning every aspect of Hindu Dharma. But it is now more than seven decades since Ambedkar’s conversion, and only a anti-Hindu propagandist would claim that Hindu society has not evolved since then. However, the neo-Buddhists are taking this hatred to the next level.

There is a sinister plan to demonize the ‘majority’ Hindu community and its practices in order to embolden the radical and supremacist elements among ‘minorities’ and balkanize Bharat. Dreams of a ‘post-Hindu India’ seeded by Hindu-hating intellectuals like Kancha Ilaiah promise an egalitarian utopia, but if these dreams come true the nation will be plunged into civil war, similar to the situation in some Middle Eastern and African nations. The secular state’s apathy towards the so-called majority only adds to the woes of Hindu society which repeatedly bears the brunt of hate politics. The hatred and fake history have become so deep-rooted that radical neo-Buddhists have also vandalized temples in their hate.

Misuse of SC-ST Act

This incident also highlights the misuse of SC-ST Act. Atrocity Act has become a tool to exact revenge with a minor being booked under the Act this August. Instead of attending classes, he is forced to attend the cases filed against him and his family by his neighbouring Buddhist SC family.

It is a matter of great misfortune that a one-sided narrative is peddled by the media in favour of the so-called backward classes. However, neither the media nor political parties care for the plight of those belonging to the general category who are repeatedly victimized using false cases. If all are equal before the law then why are victims like Rakshit, Uttam, and Vishnu Tiwari among others denied justice? Isn’t it time to review the Act and ensure strict punishment for those misusing it?

Neo-Buddhists get away by abusing Hindu Dharma and Devi/Devatas and conveniently hide behind the Act. There is no provision for punishing those filing false cases under the Act. Many take advantage of this and hence Hindus hesitate to take on Neo-Buddhists abusing Hindu Dharma and deities.
