Gemini TV promotes anti-Hindu agenda through its ‘Bhairavi’ serial

Gemini TV – a part of the Sun Network stable, has come up with a serial named Bhairavi. Gemini TV is the Telugu channel from the Sun Network owned by the Maran family. To jog the memory of our readers, Maran (Murasoli Maran), the nephew of former DMK patriarch Karunanidhi who served as Urban Development minister, later Commerce minister, was also the father of former Union Minister for telecommunications Dayanidhi Maran and owner of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Sun Pictures, Sun Network Kalanidhi Maran.

Continuing to peddle their anti-Hindu agenda as proclaimed by the prodigal son of MK Stalin, the current Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu who set out to “eradicate Sanatana Dharma” in September 2023, an upcoming serial titled Bhairavi from the channel seems to follow that agenda. The tagline of this serial says “I am God, I am Devil”

The trailer of the serial shows a little girl narrating her story stating she lived happily with her parents but her uncle and grandfather killed her. As the “ghost” of the child walks in the dark forests, a police van stops and asks her who it is. The constable sees a devil while the police inspector sees her as a goddess.

The banners of this serial were seen in the city of Telugu-speaking lands. Activists from Global Hindu Heritage Foundation in the state were seen removing these harmful words from the banner and stated that there is no such thing as God and the “Devil” being one – this is not what Hindu Dharma is about.

Sending such confusing signals to viewers will make them doubtful of their own Dharma. Sun Network’s Gemini TV has been instrumental in peddling bad culture, making people lose their thinking ability over the years.

Serials from such channels only propagate anti-Hindu values. Calls for boycott of the channels and the serials from the Sun Network echo all over the internet.
