News of theft is coming in from the Dakshin Dinajpur district of West Bengal. Unidentified thieves stole silver and gold ornaments from the temple.

As per the reports, on the night of the 17th of March, the theft happened in a Kali Mata temple of Kushkari village under the jurisdiction of Bangshihari Police Station of Dakshin Dinajpur district. 

A temple committee member said that the silver and gold ornaments of the Murti were stolen. The silver ornament was 140gm. Yearly Puja and fair are going on. Civic volunteers were on duty. But, how this incident happened, none has any clue. 

Later, the temple committee informed the police. A team of Police reached the temple and inspected the matter. 

The President of the temple committee said, “We came to know about the theft on Monday morning. We will very soon file a written complaint.”
