Udupi police files FIR against 3 Muslim students who slyly filmed fellow Hindu students

Udupi police that initially denied the filming incident have filed against the three Muslim female students who filmed their Hindu colleagues using hidden cameras in the washroom. The three are also accused of circulating the videos in WhatsApp groups of their male co-religionists.

It took social media outrage for the Udupi police to swing into action and register a case in the matter. The first case against Alimatul Shaifa, Shabanaz, Alia and Netrajyoti College’s management board charged them with the destruction of evidence. A second case was filed about uploading hidden camera video footage on YouTube channels. Multiple cases were registered under IPC sections 509, 204, 175, and 34.

“Allegations arose that topless videos of Hindu girls were being recorded in the women’s washroom of Netrajyoti College in Udupi and subsequently shared with Muslim groups. The college management conducted an inquiry into the matter and concluded that the video had been deleted, closing the case. However, due to public outrage, a suo moto case has been registered at the Malpe Police Station in the Udupi district”, reported OpIndia.

National Commission for Women (NCW) has decided to investigate the matter. A team led by NCW’s South member Khushbu Sundar will visit Udupi to investigate the case.

Cover-up by left-liberals

Netizens drew parallels with Ajmer 92 where hundreds of girls were raped with the blackmail of their illegally solicited nude photos, most of which were taken during the initial rape.

The case was being treated as open and shut by the media and politicians. Even the police denied any communal angle. “We looked through the phone and didn’t find any such video. We thoroughly investigated the matter, and there is no evidence that the video was shared. It was a one-off incident in the college and had no communal angle to it. The purported victim doesn’t want to file a police complaint”, Udupi ASP Siddalingappa was quoted by The News Minute (TNM) as saying.

Moreover, Hindu activist Rashmi Samant who highlighted the case on Twitter was targeted by POCSO-accused Mohammad Zubair. He incited STSJ mobs against her in a repeat of Nupur Sharma’s case. Readers may recall how the Islamist Zubair had unleashed STSJ mobs against Nupur by sharing an edited clip.

After Rashmi Samant’s tweet drawing attention to this shocking case from her hometown went viral, police landed at her home and questioned her parents repeatedly. Rashmi stated that the police were trying to intimidate her with no probable cause.

The Congress government in Karnataka is also turning a blind eye to the incident. Karnataka’s Home Minister G Parameshwar even termed the shameful a ‘small incident’. “The incident in Udupi is very minor and there is no need to give political colour. Also, when all this is happening in colleges, they are doing politics on such small issues, BJP should stop this. It is not a ‘serious issue’. It has happened within the college premises and between friends”, he said.

The whitewashing of crime by three Muslim students was started by the left-wing website TNM which Zubair used to dog-whistle and leftist social media users and media organizations used to downplay the incident by terming it a prank.

In fact, even after the FIR was filed Zubair and others of his ilk continued their half-lies and propaganda. Among those who peddled the ‘prank’ theory was left-wing portal The South First’s Anusha Sood. She also blamed those who are demanding action against the culprits and said that they were ‘communalising’ the issue.

The same cabal that is whitewashing the crime in the Udupi case was baying for the blood of some over-zealous teenagers in the Bulli Bai and Sulli deal controversies.
