A five-year-old Hindu girl was raped and subsequently brutally murdered in Uttar Pradesh’s (UP) Agra District. The incident is reported from a village in Etmadpur where the girl went to her tuition classes in the afternoon on 30 December. The accused raped the victim, who hails from a Hindu family belonging to the general category.
The accused used to molest the victim repeatedly, and on the day of the incident, he had planned to rape her. The girl’s father said his daughter had attended her tuition class in the afternoon. However, her teacher called her family, asking them to send the child to the class. On learning that their daughter was missing, her family members began searching for her.
They discovered her dead body at around 6.30 in the evening in an open ground opposite their house. There were numerous injury marks on her body. He brutalized the girl after raping her. Her family members said that her eyes were gouged out, and there were severe injury marks on her head. The accused even chopped off the girl’s finger.
The police used CCTV footage to identify the accused. He confessed he killed the victim by drowning her in water. He added he wasn’t satisfied with just drowning her, and hence, he hit her on the head with a sharp stone. He disposed of her body in a pile of garbage before fleeing. The accused was identified as Rajveer, hailing from the SC community. He is an Etmadpur’s Nagla Kesiya resident and works as a watchman. He was absconding when the police arrived to catch him. The police caught him on CCTV and succeeded in capturing him.

Such hate-mongering and indoctrination is leading to crimes such as this one, where a 5-year-old girl was brutalized and murdered for no fault of hers. These are the same people who use Acts such as the SC-ST Act to exact revenge.
