A Hindu woman from Patna was raped in Garhwa, Jharkhand, after being lured there under the pretext of loan repayment. The accused, Mohammad Jaharuddin Ansari, had borrowed Rs 45,000 from the victim’s husband and promised to return it. However, he deceived her and took her to a secluded area where the assault occurred.

The victim received a call from Jaharuddin asking her to come to Garhwa to collect the loan amount. When she arrived, he convinced her to go with him to his house, but instead, he took her to a secluded place and raped her. He also tried to kill her by strangulation, but she managed to escape and called the police for help using her mobile phone.

The police swiftly rescued the woman, providing her with medical treatment. They recorded her statement and filed a case against Jaharuddin Ansari. The police are currently searching for him.

This incident has caused outrage in the local community and highlights the importance of vigilance and cooperation to prevent such crimes. It also underscores the importance of emergency services like dialling 100 for immediate assistance. As the investigation continues, there is a strong call for justice to ensure the safety and dignity of Hindu women.
