Ranchi Police discover stones on roofs of 8 houses during surveillance ahead of Ram Navami celebrations

During drone surveillance to ensure safety during Ram Navami processions in Jharkhand’s Ranchi, police found stones on eight houses’ roofs near Hindpithi and Daily Market areas. Notices were sent to the house owners.

The DSP instructed them to remove the stones and warned that they would be held responsible if any trouble occurred during the procession. Ranchi police are on high alert for Ram Navami due to past violence. SSP Chandan Sinha ordered the City SP and Rural SP to patrol the region and deploy personnel in sensitive areas. Station heads will take strict action in case of trouble.

Traffic arrangements in Ranchi have been changed for the immersion of Chaiti Durga Puja and Ram Navami, effective from 4 AM on Tuesday until 6 AM on April 17. These measures aim to ensure the safety and smooth conduct of the Ram Navami processions.
