Engineer Mohd Arshad stole blankets, pillows, & bedsheets from trains; 40 bedsheets, 6 blankets & other items recovered

A woman from Rajasthan’s Kota, who recently married engineer Mohammad Arshad from Bhopal in January, was shocked to discover her husband’s habit of stealing items like towels, bed sheets, pillow covers, and other things provided by the railways for passengers travelling in AC compartments.

The woman, identified as Afsana, discovered her husband’s actions while cleaning their house last month. She opened a large locked box, only to find numerous stolen items with the railway logo on them. When she confronted her husband, a native of Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur, who works at a private firm in Bhopal, he admitted to stealing these items while travelling in AC compartments.

Afsana was shocked and told him that what he was doing was wrong. However, Arshad dismissed her, saying that men are superior to women and she should do as he says. Undeterred, Afsana recorded and uploaded a video narrating the incident on social media. She also informed the Bhopal Railway Protection Force (RPF) about Arshad’s actions.

The RPF visited their house and recovered 40 bedsheets, 30 towels, and six blankets. Despite this, no action has been taken against Arshad yet. In her video, Afsana expressed her dislike for Arshad’s habit and decided to expose him when he did not listen to her advice. He also reportedly assaulted his wife for exposing his theft.
