“Madhya Pradesh: Cow Smugglers attempted to take away the calves, attacked owners; heavy police deployed”, Organiser, April 21, 2023:

“Cow smugglers were trying to take away a calf from near the station square in the Damoh district of Madhya Pradesh. As soon as the locals caught them red-handed and began protesting they attacked them. The attackers were raising religious slogans, the situation was taken under control by the police with heavy force deployment.

Notably, when the local Hindu leaders reached the Damoh Kotwali to get a complaint registered against the attackers, a bunch of them followed and created a ruckus at the station. Citing the seriousness of the situation an extra police force was deployed in the city.

Notably, on the night of April 19, some of the miscreants were trying to take away a cow calf, from near the railway station square to somewhere. As soon as the locals spotted them, they raised suspicion and followed.
