It may be a shocking revelation for many that Uttarakhand has the second fastest-growing Muslim population after Assam, as per a Panchajanya report. The Muslim population has been encroaching on government land in the beautiful Himalyan state which is considered Dev bhoomi (land of deities) and is full of sacred Hindu pilgrimage sites for many years, but the local administration is paying no heed whatsoever. Due to a massive influx of Muslim migrant population, including suspected illegal Bangladeshi/Rohingya immigrants, the Pachhua area of the capital Dehradun has turned into an unofficial Islamic territory.
In a recently conducted survey by the Dhami government, the administration got some shocking facts, which forced them to initiate a full-fledged inquiry in this matter. The government has asked multiple departments to work in tandem to unearth further details about this practice of land jihad by Islamists in the state, says the report.
It was found that thousands of Muslims have settled around the Asan Barrage on the border of Uttarakhand adjacent to Paonta Sahib in Himachal Pradesh. It is believed that these Muslim settlers have come from Saharanpur and surrounding areas of Uttar Pradesh under a well-planned conspiracy. It is noteworthy that in Himachal, no outsider can purchase land. By occupying the Uttarakhand border area, the illegal squatters are also gradually entering into Himachal Pradesh.
Upon receiving the intelligence inputs about this conspiracy, the Dhami government has finally realized the gravity of the situation. The Forest Department, Hydroelectric Project Department, Revenue department, and various other Central departments have woke up from their deep slumber and have started taking some preliminary actions.
According to the information, the Uttarakhand Hydroelectric Project Department, also known as UGVNL, have sent eviction notice to more than 700 Muslim families. These people are illegally occupying the government land on both sides of the canal from Himachal border to Asan Barrage and they have created permanent structures as well.
These illegally occupied structures have been marked by the department with a cross. Around 95% of the squatters are Muslims, and the rest are converted Christians and few Hindus.
It is learned that initially few Muslim families from Saharanpur came here as daily wage earners. Later they facilitated their relatives in local settlement, and gradually their population kept increasing. Not only around the Asan barrage, Muslim population is also being rapidly settled around the Yamuna river.
Sahaspur assembly in Dehradun district has witnessed the maximum influx of Muslim population in recent times. If you carefully analyze the demographic data of Rampur, Khushalpur, Jatonwala, Sihani Wala, Sherpur, Dhaki, Dhakirani, Shankarpur,Hakumatpur, Dixon Gali, Jamanpur Selaqui, Vikas Nagar river bank and Herbertpur area, then you will realize how strategically Muslim population has disturbed the demographic balance in these areas.
It is also revealed that Muslim population has enjoyed a free run during previous Congress regime under the leadership of Vijay Bahuguna and Harish Rawat. During this time, hundreds of mosques and tombs have been built illegally in these areas. At present there are more than 170 mosques and 103 mausoleums (mazar/dargahs) in these areas.
Several madrasas have been converted into magnificent buildings, and numerous small buildings for worship have been built fearlessly across the state. All this has been done by violating the order of the “honorable” Supreme Court, which has ordered that no new religious place will be built with due process.
You will be shocked to know that a Mazar was made on the road outside the power house of Uttarakhand Energy Corporation, while administration kept sleeping. This is the same area where Congress leadership made an announcement of opening of Muslim University to appease Islamists.
Locals connections with a body called the Gazwa-Hind Jamaat have also emerged, as per the Panchajanya report. Regular attendance registers are kept in the mosques and it is mandatory for Muslim males to attend the Jamaats. The local masjids prepare the chart of the people who comes to offer Namaz during Friday prayers and send it to Lucknow, Delhi, and Deoband.
The local Muslims are getting directions from the mosques, and they have been given targets to take over the local iron and plastic businesses, along with encroaching on government land, houses and other strategically important assets in Uttarakhand.
The situation in Uttarakhand’s Dehradun district, especially the region which falls between Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh has gone out of control. Several important areas have been dominated by Muslims by illegally occupying government lands, which has created a massive population imbalance in these areas.
What is more appalling is that no political party is working to resolve this issue, due to greed for vote banks. However, they are forgetting that their greed for political power could disturb and even destroy the Dev Bhoomi forever.
Two statements by CM Pushkar Singh Dhami in the last month give hope that he is well aware about this serious encroachment issue. However, it is going to take more than just issuing orders to government babus to take on this land jihad mafia.
A tweet by legal activist group Kalinga Rights Forum states that Uttarakhand Police has closed an investigation into illegal settlement of around 8000 Muslims from Deoband in Selakui region of Uttarakhand by Congress leaders using fake Aadhar cards, saying “no illegality found”.
Uttarakhand need land bill, India needs Uniform civil court, Population control bill. We need these as soon as possible.

Most of Local youth is unskilled and useless so migrants are getting work easily in dehradun and villages in hill area.

Do you have a comprehension problem, “Shukla”? Firstly, the concern here is to do with encroachment on govt and forest land. Second, many states have inner line permit system to prevent just this kind of demographic assault. Third, states like Himachal prohibit outsiders from buying land , while Gujarat also has the Disturbed Area Act to prevent this kind of land jihad which Islamists are well known for. So this is a genuine concern and a legitimate topic for discussion – it is time for similar restrictions being introduced all over the country to prevent parts of Bharat being turned into defacto sharia zones.
