Karate master Siddique Ali accused of raping & killing minor girl arrested in Malappuram

Karate master Siddique Ali was arrested in Edavannapara on the Malappuram Kozhikode border after the body of a 17-year-old girl was found in the Chaliyar River. The family had alleged Ali sexually assaulted the minor girl continuously. On the complaint of the family, the Vazhakkad police apprehended him.

The dead girl’s sister and the locals stated that the karate teacher of Oorkkadav had several complaints against his name. Ali was also an accused in a Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) case earlier. The body of the Plus One student, who went missing from her home on Monday evening, was found 100 meters away in Chaliyar.

The victim had complained to her sister about the karate master. She told her sister that Ali had physically abused her. Sir is the Guru, and we should give our mind and body to the satisfaction of the Guru. This is what the children were taught. Several minor girls were abused like this, the sister revealed.

It is reported that the girl was found drowned in Chaliyar under mysterious circumstances while her family was about to file a POCSO case against Ali. The sister also disclosed that when Ali was questioned about the physical abuse, he initially avoided it but later admitted that he had made a ‘mistake.’

The girl passed class 10 with excellent marks and stopped studying in Plus One. Meanwhile, the girl went missing last Monday around 6 pm. Later, at 8 pm, during the search conducted by the family and the locals, her body was found lying submerged in the Chaliyar River. She was immediately taken to a private hospital in Vazhakkad, but her life could not be saved. There was a mystery in the death of the student, and the locals demanded that an investigation be carried out.

Earlier, the accused karate teacher was reportedly arrested in another POCSO case, remanded and later let out on bail. His latest victim’s family had sent a complaint to the Child Welfare Committee Office in Kozhikode about the harassment she faced. The case was handed over to the Kondotty police. When police came to make a statement, the girl could not speak.

Local police could not record the statement of the girl because she was under severe mental stress. Later, while preparing to proceed with the case, the girl was found dead in the river. The family alleged that the child’s death was unnatural. Some reports indicated that her torso was naked when the body was found, adding to the suspicion.

The girl’s body was handed over to her relatives after post-mortem at Kozhikode Medical College.

Another accused was arrested from Kozhikode in the incident of exposing himself to a 6th-class girl. Mujeeb from Kalathingal house in Tamarassery was detained. The 12-year-old girl disclosed her ordeal during the counselling held at the school. Mujeeb was charged under the POCSO Act.

The incident happened last year. The 6th-class girl was constantly exposed to nudity on her way to school. Unable to bear his harassment, the girl told the teacher about her ordeal during counselling last month.

With this, the teacher contacted the Child Line authorities. The ChildLine officials and the Magistrate have taken the child’s statement in the incident. Mujeeb was produced in the court and remanded.

A Church Pastor’s assistant was arrested for sexually assaulting a minor student. The incident happened in Munnar, Idukki. Sebastian, a native of Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, was apprehended. The incident related to the case took place last April. He sexually assaulted a 14-year-old boy when he came to a prayer meeting in Munnar.

The information about the molestation came to light when the parents took the victim for counselling after seeing changes in the child’s behaviour. Sebastian absconded but was taken into police custody from Tuticorin. The accused was produced in the court and remanded.
