Jharkhand: Islamist Manzoor Alam kidnaps three minor Hindu girls; victims rescued and perpetrator apprehended

In a shocking incident, Islamist Manzoor Alam, a resident of Garjamu in Gudio, Barhi, abducted three young Hindu girls from Tilokri village in Jaynagar, Koderma, Jharkhand, on Tuesday, 10th December, around 1 PM. Based on the reports from Hindustan, Islamist Alam lured the children by offering to treat them to chow mein and transported them on his motorcycle to the Badano forest in Chalkusha, Hazaribagh district.

Among the victims, nine-year-old Suhani managed to escape from Alam’s clutches and alerted nearby villagers. Suhani, along with her sister Aarohi and another girl, Kalyani, had been held in the forest by the accused, who threatened to harm them if they tried to raise an alarm. Acting on Suhani’s information, the villagers swiftly organized a search and located the remaining two girls.

Islamist Manzoor Alam was apprehended by the villagers at the scene, where they reportedly tied him to a pole and beat him before handing him over to the Chalkusha police.

The rescued girls have been identified as Aarohi, Suhani, and Kalyani. Aarohi and Suhani are siblings, while Kalyani is the daughter of Bindu Saav, a resident of Nawada, Bihar. The children recounted how Islamist Alam had deceived them with the promise of food before threatening their lives in the forest.

Chalkusha Police Station in-charge Chittaranjan Kumar confirmed the arrest of Islamist Manzoor Alam and assured strict legal action against him. The authorities are investigating the incident further to ensure justice is served.

This incident serves as a grim reminder for parents to remain vigilant and safeguard their children from predators like Islamist Manzoor Alam. The bravery of nine-year-old Suhani and the swift action of the villagers ensured a tragic outcome was averted.

The situation in Jharkhand has become increasingly concerning, especially for the Hindu community, as incidents of targeted crimes against women and minors continue to rise. Cases like Islamist individuals posing under false identities to exploit and harm Hindu girls, such as Pyare Hussain’s abduction of a minor Hindu girl, highlight a growing pattern of predatory behavior. These acts are further exacerbated by the lack of strict anti-conversion laws and inadequate measures to ensure the safety and dignity of Hindus in the state.

The JMM-Congress alliance’s governance has come under scrutiny for its perceived apathy toward addressing these issues effectively. Hindu organizations have raised alarms over the increasing vulnerability of their community, demanding immediate action to curb such crimes and enact laws that protect religious freedoms and community safety. Without decisive intervention, the social fabric of Jharkhand remains at risk, leaving its Hindu population to face escalating challenges in preserving their rights and security.
