A disturbing case has emerged from the Bazar Khala area of Lucknow, where a 16-year-old Hindu girl has gone missing, and the family has strongly alleged that she has been brainwashed and abducted as part of a Love Jihad trap. The accused, identified as Tahir Qureshi, is a local Muslim youth who, according to the family, had previously attempted to lure the girl away under similar circumstances. Despite clear evidence and prior complaints, the local police have failed to act decisively, sparking outrage among the victim’s family and Hindu community activists.
As per Aaj Tak, the victim’s parents revealed that this is the second time Tahir Qureshi has abducted their daughter. The first time, she recovered after local intervention, but no strict legal action was taken, allowing the accused to repeat the crime. This time, the girl, under psychological manipulation, has reportedly told her family that she wishes to stay with Qureshi, a clear sign of coercive indoctrination and grooming. The family asserts that their daughter, being a minor, is legally incapable of making such decisions, and this amounts to clear abduction and religious targeting.
The family has approached the Bazar Khala Police Station twice with written complaints and requested immediate action, but no FIR has been registered so far. Despite the girl being a minor and the matter involving elements of religious exploitation, police have remained inactive, raising serious concerns about law enforcement bias and dereliction of duty. The father of the girl said, “Had the roles been reversed, arrests would have been made within hours. But since we are Hindus, we are expected to suffer in silence.”
