In Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, a Muslim man, Atman, was caught deceiving a Hindu girl by assuming a fake Hindu identity. The couple was strolling together when they were stopped by some people who questioned them out of suspicion.
The man initially claimed his name as Atman Singh Thakur, but upon investigation, it was discovered that his real name was Atman Khan. This revelation led to angry locals beating the Muslim youth. The girl, who is Hindu, was handed over to her family, while Atman Khan faced the wrath of the crowd. Despite the girl’s attempts to intervene and save him, the locals refused to relent. It was later revealed that he had lied to the girl about his name and his religion. The video of this incident has gone viral on social media.
Instances of Islamists assuming fake Hindu identities to deceive and trap Hindu girls are on the rise. This January, a 24-year-old Hindu woman was safely recovered in a swift operation by Silchar police, who apprehended Mumin, alleged to be a Bangladeshi, from Tripura near the Bangladesh border, following allegations of his involvement in a love affair with a Hindu girl that led to their elopement. He is accused of using a Hindu identity to trap the woman.
A similar case of deceit and love gone wrong was reported from a small village in Gujarat’s Bharuch. A man named Adil deceived a young woman working in Bharuch City by using Arya Patel on social media. However, he hid the fact that he was already married and that he was a Muslim.
Owing to frequent incidents of Islamists assuming fake identities to deceive and trap Hindu girls, the Hindu Samaj and organizations are apprehensive and cautious. It is important to protect Hindu women from Islamist predators.
