The family of Hindu girl Asmitha, who committed suicide by consuming poison in what appears to be a case of love jihad (grooming), protested in front of the masjid demanding justice. The case was reported from Telangana’s Nizamabad.

Advocate Neelam Bhargava Ram tweeted (archived tweet) regarding the incident and highlighted that this was the second consecutive case that had come to the fore from Telangana. The advocate also posted a video clip wherein the family protested in front of the Masjid.
According to available information, Asmitha was trapped by Sameer by hiding his religious identity. After she learned of his actual identity she consumed poison and died. Following her death, her family gathered outside the masjid with Asmitha’s dead body and protested demanding justice.
Several cases of Muslims assuming Hindu identities to dupe and trap Hindu women have come to the fore. A Muslim gym trainer pretended to be Anshu and blackmailed a Hindu girl using her obscene photographs. In Assam, 8 Muslim youths all using the alias ‘Rahul’ ran the Love Jihad gang and trafficked over 100 girls to Haryana.
