“In a concerning development, Khalistani terrorists staged a protest outside the Indian consulate in downtown Vancouver, Canada, on February 18. The demonstrators, burning two Tricolours and tearing another apart, launched a vitriolic tirade against the Indian government, making anti-India and anti-Hindu remarks in Punjabi via loudspeakers.
The protest, reportedly held to commemorate eight months since the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada, saw slogans like “Shame on India” and derogatory references to Hindus using gaumutra jibes.
As anti-India sentiments escalate and pro-Khalistani elements find sanctuary in Canada under Prime Minister Trudeau’s administration, Canadian officials are conducting workshops for their Indian counterparts to familiarize them with Canada’s legal system.
