Bangladesh: Islamists attacked a Hindu family in Noyakhali for not giving Gunda tax

Persecution of Hindu minorities never stops in Muslim-majority Bangladesh. Now, Islamists attacked Hindu families and beat them up for not giving Gunda tax as their demand. This incident of brutality and torture has been reported from the Kabirhat area in the Noyakhali district of Bangladesh. 

As per the received information, Madhusudan Dutta(78) lives in Mirzanagar village under the Kabirhat Police Station area of Noyakhali district. Islamists Motaleb Miyan and Nabab Miyan we’re continuously threatening the Hindu family for money. They also threatened them to face the consequences if they didn’t give the money they demanded. 

As per the complaint, Madhusudan Dutta denied to give any money to them. So, on the 10th of August, Islamists attacked them. Motaleb Miyan and Nabab Miyan and 4 others attacked them. They beat them up with sticks, manhandled them and threatened them with murder. Now, the Hindu family is living in fear. 

A complaint was filed at Kabirhat Police Station. Based on the complaint, Police have started the investigation.
